Q: I have a big rug in my bedroom which I would like to bring to school- however it smells bad from jsut being on the floor for so long. I would like to clean it just enough so that it won't stink up my dorm room WITHOUT calling a carpet cleaner. Any suggestions?: The best way to keep a rug clean is to keep it from getting dirty in the first place. Removing outdoor shoes when entering the house (as people do in most rug-weaving countries) is a good idea if this accords with your lifestyle. Bare-foot or sock-foot traffic is much gentler to a rug than a hard outdoor-shoe sole (or spike heel), and leaving your outdoor shoes at the entrance to the house tracks in much less dirt.

Q: 2 days ago when I came home I noticed that the toilet was leaking water and the whole bathroom floor was flooded. Even the carpet between the bathroom and the kitchen got soaking wet. My husband fixed the toilet and we immediately wet vac'd the carpet.I woke up this morning to this awful smell that was coming from the carpet. Q: In sims bustin out people are always saying in order to get married you need a love rug. I look at everything in buy/build mode. Do you have to unlock? Can someone please tell me where to find the love rug?: You do not need to buy a rug in order to get married. There is a bear skin rug in buy mode / decorative that you can relax on and make-out. To get married in Bust Out mode, you just need to be in good relationship and in love with someone from the Tootie or Frootie household. Then you can just ask them to marry you. If they are hungry, need to pee, etc. they may refuse. If you are in Freeplay mode, 2 adult sims already in the same household cannot get married, but you can ask sims in a different house to marry you if there are 3 or fewer sims in the household already. Freeplay has a 4 sims per house limit.

Q: what material carpet is better if the house is humid?: wool carpet is not suitable for wet house, because it is easy to mildew and become smelly. you can try plastic carpet, but it is not beautiful

The smaller the specific warmth, the swifter the temperature modifications from warm to chilly. and likewise the floor and rug are made out of diverse components whilst rug is made out of fibers that sense greater tender than the floor do.

Q: Ok so i want to get new carpet in my basement and on the Home Depot website it says that youcan get any size carpet for only $139, but idk if this includes taking the old carpet out. If not, then how would i do that, and/or how much will it cost???: The ad is to install the carpet, not purchase. You'd have to ask Home Depot if the install also includes removal and haul away. It may not for a special deal. Removal can be fairly easy if the carpet was not glued to the floor. The easy way is to peel back a corner. Tack strips are thin slat with grippers nailed to the floor that have spikes on the top to grip the carpet. Once you get it off once section, the carpet is easily taken up. However, get a carpet knife and cut them into sections for easier handling. Often the carpet is NOT under the baseboard, but right at the bottom. Letting a putty knife or screw driver under there will probably loosen it. Remove the carpet and the pad.......pads are cheap and you want a fresh clean start. If the carpet is glued down.......well, you'll need a heavy duty flat scraper and start scraping. You'll also need a carpet glue solvent and plenty of open windows...at least. You may need breathing protection, getting the birds out of the house, etc.

Or, pull up the carpet if you have wood underneath. Our carpet was NASTY and we just pulled it up, but beware. It took us 2 solid weekends to pull up the carpet, take out the staples (thousands of them) and wash (3x) and map and glo (3x) the floors. They look good now, but it was a lot of work. Got rugs at Ollie's. Two similiar ones - same colors, different patterns. (Thanks to Yahoo.Answers!) Also, you can use vinegar to clean the carpets. We did that last year. Rent the rug doctor but use a vingear solution. I think 1 c white vinegar to 1 gallon of water. Good Luck!
