Q: What's the difference?: I think rugs are woven in such a way that they are stronger, and more resilient against people walking on them. I think in theory you could use a tapestry as a rug, but it would probably have a shorter lifespan than a rug. so don't do it with your best tapestries.

If none of this works, then try feeding your cat close to the scratching post. When he has finished eating, he will want to relax, and to start relaxing, he needs a good stretch, which is when the scratching post comes in handy to him. Cat's don't use their scratching posts as something just to scratch.. they use the to stretch the muscles in their legs and paws. your cat may take his naps in the room that the rug is located.. ? If he does, then it's best if you find another place for him to sleep, that way he doesn't have to stretch himself using the rug. If this still doesn't work, then cat nip may just do the job. Q: I have to clean a carpet that has a red cool aid stain on it? Since it is not my carpet, I have no idea how long the stain has set into the carpet. I am willing to try just about anything short of a beach based cleaner? The carpet is an off white, so it's extremely noticable. Any suggestions, or is this a hopeless case?: I'm no expert on getting rid of stains, but I can offer some help in preventing them. Whenever a liquid is spilled on carpet, instead of pushing it into the carpet by sopping it up, cover the spill with a generous amount of table salt. The salt draws the moisture out and then when it dries it can be vacuumed up. If blood gets on rugs or carpet or most any material (probably not dry clean only) lay ice cubes on the spots. As the ice melts the blood will literally disappear. You may need to keep adding ice as it melts but I have used this several times and it does work. Good Luck!

Q: dried into wool rug: steam clean the rug and then apply a product called Urine Gone. it works really well. After about an hour or so, stem clean the rug again.
