Q: I'm looking for a living room rug approximately 8x10 or larger. Someone told me that I can perhaps be able to buy two pieces of carpet and have them made into a rug, it suppose to cost less than an already made rug and I can chose the colors I want. If you know any places where I can have this done or where I can purchase a rug for a low price, please let me know. I live in West Chicago, 60634. I can only afford to pay up to $150. Thanks!
I just bought an 8x10 wool rug from Ikea for $90 in their as-is room. There were several I liked on the sales floor in that size for under $150. They have a pretty wide range of rugs and prices. You can also check places like Sams, Costco, Big Lots, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, and Ross.
Q: i have a extra room in my house that used to be a lil girls room. the carpet is sort of a reddish pinkish color. i dont have a girl anymore and would like to turn the room into a play room for my son. can i dye the carpet? if so wat colors could i change it to and where could i get the dye?
The easiest and surest way to change the color is to change the carpet. If the present carpet is nylon, there is no way to dye it evenly. Go to commercial carpet installer house and purchase an end run from a job of a color that works for you...you will spend far less money doing this than trying to dye a carpet that will make a mess. Choose level loop commercial carpet....will never wear out under residential use.
Q: what should we pay attention to when we buy the carpet?
it's mostly used in the living rooms of high class villa because it is anti-static and foaming. The pure woolen carpet feels soft. polypropylene fiber greatly reduces the cost of the carpet. In addition, antifouling, fiber rapidly kinks. it stands wear and tear and is easy to be corroded. when you purchase a carpet, you can easily identify the texture by observing the characteristics of the carpet. for example, if the carpet pulls well and is colorful and soft, then it is made of chinlon. now blended carpet is widely used in general home decoration because it is mothproof . Through the above method, polyester and other chemical fiber are not easy to age , and their ashes are the black lumps. the carpet made of them seaming the linen was affected greatly by temperature; nylon is flameless and does't fade , its visual sense is similar to wool; polypropylene shows yellow flame when it is burned ; acrylic fiber is high-grade floor decorative materials, it burns slowly and it is smokeless and anti-corrosion, so it suitable for the home entrance and sides of toilet bathtub. as for the weight of villi, you can choose one cantaining more villi, but the price is expensive; polyester fiber shows yellow and white when it is burned, it has as many patterns as pure woolen carpet. With fire prevention and antifouling characteristics, it becomes the leading product of the carpet in decoration of high class houses.
Q: Can anyone help me with this. It is cold out at the minute but not actually such a big deal as he is in the stable at night. My problem is that he also has Sweet-Itch and I'd like to get him to accept a rug before April or I will be in trouble!! I just got him a few months ago and he is great with everything else! (plastic bags, traffic, horse-box).The rug I bought is a turn out rug and I know Sweet-Itch rugs are a lot more lightweight but I dont really want to splash out on one just yet untill I make some progress!!
I took the no nonsense approach when putting a rug on my 16.2hh Thoroughbred who had never been rugged up before. I just threw it on like i do with my other horses, granted she did have a bit of a dance about, but nothing major, after about 5 or 6 times of rugging her up she was fine with it.
Q: I found a nice rug I want to put in my daughter's room, it says that its a 40 X 27. I don't know how big that is like a 4 X6 or 5X8 or a 8X10 so if you know please let me know.
30 long - 16 wide and 13ft thick.
Q: i have about 12 rugs for my horse weatherbeeta turnout 600 denier saxon turnout 1200 denier, zilco canvus, two summer rugs and a polar fleece rug he is a thoroughbred and seems to need to be warm. im wondeing how many i have to put on him? and what are the best brands of horse rugs in australia victoria i hope i can get some good answers thanks! =]
My my pony I don't like having too many rugs as its very expensive. But for winter I have an light weight no fill weatherbeeta, 100g and 200g Zilco with detachable neck rug. i find the detachable neck rugs very handy as the horse can cool its self down more without the neck rug on too. 200g usually used when she is full clipped and its very wet and windy. But she tends to be warmer than cold. Then 100g for in-between and light weight if its a nice day but still a bit cold etc. If you don't have much time to change rugs your better off with a canvas as they are a lot more breathable and you can just add layers underneath like a 100g doona or 200g doona or a light cotton sheet if not too cold. Feeding hay helps them warm up if you know it isn't going to be raining for much longer as well. Hope this helps :)
Q: Always been as natural as possible with my horses inc rugging, deciding if it's time to rug my old guy (I say old but he's 18 which isn't that old I know!). He's a warmblood, 18yrs used now as a pleasure/trail horse. Things to consider:I live in Queensland, Australia - the lowest the temperatures been since we've lived here is around 1-2 degrees celsius (that's 33-35 Fahrenheit) but it is quite windy (it doesn't snow here - I wish!)This horse spent most of his life in Victoria where the temperature got much lower much windier but he was with a large herd to snuggle up too.We have a run in shelter with just a roof minimal trees. He's a good doer keeping his condition (if anything slightly chubby!).Thanks for your contributions :)
If he is a good doer and it's staying above freezing, I don't think you have to rug him at all. If he was older and having trouble keeping weight on, then maybe. For my horses (ages 27, 14, 14 and 3) I keep them natural until my 14 year old mare starts to shiver (usually at about 10 degrees Fahrenheit), then I'll blanket the three older ones. The 3 year old is a pony with a shaggy coat, and last winter was my first winter with him and I don't have a blanket to fit him.
Q: How to take care of the bedroom carpet
