- Q: What is the reason for the arch rise after the carpet is cleaned?
- Because the carpet becomes soft after it is washed.
- Q: How big is a 8 x 12 rug?No rude answers please If your not going to help me thank you! :)
- 12 feet one way and 8 feet the other.
- Q: My carpet is so stained, and gross. it has makeup, and coke, and nailpolish.I reallly want to get new carpet.how much would that cost?in a 11 by 12 foot room?
- The most you will probably pay if you can find a decent sale is 2-3 dollars per square foot materials and installed. This is a high estimate in my opinion, but and estimate nonetheless. 11*12=132*2=264 (132*3=396). I agree with trying to carpet shampoo first. Kind of pointless to replace carpet in only one room if you can shampoo it to a decent state.
- Q: I recently lost a large wall rug in my house due to a fire. The only information I have for it is the following: My grandmother purchased it from a traveling salesman in Canada sometime between 1967-1971. The dimensions of the rug are approx. 6ft long by 3-4 ft tall. It has a picture of polar bears on icebergs. The edging was red yarn-like fringes.I think that this rug is worth something but I can't find anything like it. I need to put a value on it for insurance purposes so I want to find out its true value and need documentation to prove that that rug, or one close to it, is worth a certain amount of money. My other grandmother had a similarly sized rug, possibly sold by the same guy, but it had a bullfighter and bull on it. Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated.
- I'm not incredibly familiar with rugs, but I can try to give some help. After searching around a little bit, it seems that most of the rugs fitting this description are between $200-400, but rugs also run much higher in price. If it is a hand-made rug of that size made by a fine rug-maker, you could be talking $1000 dollars or more. I can't say too much more, since I'm in no way qualified to appraise a rug, since I don't know enough about them, but I included some links in the sources that might help you price your rug. Hope this helps. Good luck!
- Q: hey just wondering is there any big difference between a rug with leg straps and a rug with a tail chord?
- Leg straps will hold the rug in place more efficiently than a tail cord. The tail cord simply keeps the rug from slipping forward, while the leg straps will prevent slippage from side to side and shifting. The rug will fit much better with leg straps than with a tail cord. Some horses are so rambunctious that they will actually get the rug to flip forward over their rumps, rendering the tail cord useless. However it doesn't matter to some horses leg straps vs. tail cord. For example: my QH was a great boy; he was easy on his blankets and did not try to weasel his way out of them. He had a generous rump and I used a rug with a tail cord and had no problems. However, I then used that same rug on my TB, who wore the same size, and she flipped it over her rump. I went to the barn one day and there she was, with the rug completely inverted over her back. It also would shift all over the place, so I put leg straps on it, and it solved my problems. If adjusted correctly, leg straps are more beneficial.
- Q: does anyone have a walkthrough for the games 2 win game Funny red carpet
- That is very simple.. first of all,you should collect all the items that are scattered in various parts of the game screen... Then, COMBO 1: 1.First click on the photographer in the middle so that all the photographers move closer to the celebrity... 2.then click hammer+nail and click near her leg..her dress falls off... COMBO 2: 1.Click the same photographer...they will move closer... 2.CLick marbles+skateboard and then click near the leg of the guy in the red carpet..he will slide down and make the two ladies fall... COMBO 3: 1.Click the object next to the skateboard(i'm not sure what was that) and then click the fountain..the water will come up with a greater force... 2.click on the metal board object next to the object i mentioned above...the lady becomes wet.. 3.Then click aeroplane+remote+rope+hook..her dress will be taken away.. COMBO 4: 1.Click on the photographer 2.Click the pretty women near the right end of the game screen..she'll give flying kiss to the guy in red carpet..the woman slaps him.. 3.Click the cellphone in the objects pane..the guy will start to talk in cell phone. So the woman will move.. 4.Click the rope..the woman will fall and then slaps the guy again.. ................That Is All..........
- Q: does anyone know how to get the smell of urine out of carpet, ive trieed ferbreeze but its not doing it, any suggestions...
- Hope this helps...Good Luck ! Carpets/Upholstery: 1) A great non-toxic carpet stain remover is club soda. Soak spot immediately with soda and blot until the stain is gone. 2) Pet Urine on Carpets: Dab area with toweling to absorb as much as possible, wash spot with liquid dish detergent, and rinse with 1/2 cup vinegar diluted in 1 qt warm water. Lay towels or paper towels over the spot and weight down to absorb excess moisture. Let stand 4 to 6 hours, then remove toweling, brush up nap and allow to dry completely. Use an electric fan to speed drying. 3) Red wine stains can be removed from carpet by rubbing baking soda in and vacuuming. 4) Sprinkle cornstarch onto carpet, vacuum. 5) To remove grease spots from carpets, first sop up the liquid with a sponge, then rub a liberal amount of baking soda into the spot. Let it absorb overnight. Next day, remove the excess and vacuum the area. 6) To remove grease spots from carpets, first absorb excess with a sponge, then rub a liberal amount of corn starch into the spot. Let sit overnight, then vacuum. 7) Dry cornstarch sprinkled on rug and vacuumed. 8) Carpet Fresher 4 cups baking soda or cornstarch 35 drops Eucalyptus essential oil 30 drops Lavender essential oil 25 drops Rosewood essential oil or any combination of your favorite essentail oils Measure 4 cups of baking soda into a bowl, add essential oils. Break up any clumps that form, stir until well mixed. Before vacuuming sprinkle powder from a shaker type can or jar. Let it sit on the carpet for about 15 minutes then vacuum. 9) Herbal Carpet Freshener 1 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup lavender flowers Crush the lavender flowers to release their scent. Mix well with baking soda and sprinkle liberally on carpets. Vacuum after 30 minutes. 10) Sprinkle baking soda on carpets before vacuuming for a natural rug deodorizer
- Q: Should the couch sit on top of the rug completely or should the rug be in front of the couch?
- Rugs are a great way to define living areas within large rooms to make them appear cozy. For instance, a conversation area can be quickly defined in front of a fireplace. A sofa, two chairs and a coffee table could be comfortably arranged atop an 8x10 rug. Then, off in a corner, a reading area with a leather armchair, ottoman, bookshelves and lamp table can be offset by a complementary 5x7 or 4x6 rug. If your family room has a dominant focal point such as a fireplace, it's best to choose a rug with an all-over pattern so it doesn't compete with or distract from the focal point. When deciding whether to use two rugs in a room setting, it is best to vary the scale of the pattern and alter the design. The rugs don't have to be identical, but they should match either in color tone or feeling.
- Q: Hair Dye was spilled on the carpet a couple of months ago we tried a couple of things ,even the carpet cleaners could not get it out, any suggestions ?
- An unlucky coincidence with hair dye can make cleansing carpet a nightmare. in numerous situations, it ought to even propose the right of your carpet. with somewhat of success it gained't come to this. There are some things you could attempt to get rid of carpet stains of this nature. at the starting up, it really is going to pass without announcing that if hair dye is spilled on the carpet one ought to act in the present day. hose down a sponge and note dishwashing liquid. Blot the stain with the sponge till you've lifted as most of the dye as conceivable. you could also attempt doing a similar ingredient with vinegar. If this does no longer paintings and the stain hasn't set into the carpet too deep, you're prepared to snip the very correct fibers of the carpet without everybody understanding. If none of this works, you ought to call in a specialist who makes cleansing carpet stains his agency or rearrange your furniutre to conceal the stain...
