Electro Galvanized Barbed Wire for Fence

Q: I have DirectWay and have a wireless router. I recently hardwired my computer in because I kept losing signal. The distance between my computer and the router is about 30 ft. But since I hardwired my computer in, it seems slower than when I ran the wireless adapter, i.e downloading videos and music. I was under the impression that wired was faster. What gives????
That's odd that you said wired seems slower. Generally the wireless connection is the slower of the two. I've never seen wireless faster than wired if all things are equal. Perhaps something else is causing the slow down. Don;t know what to tell you to check. Is your eathernet cable good quality? the 30 ft distance is pretty short and shouldn't cause a slow down. Hope that helps
Q: We added an AC to a preexisting sx 80 furnace and we are having a hard time wiring the new thermostat to the furnace, and the condensor to the furnace. Anyone know how to get a wiring diagram?? thanks
furnace will have 5 low voltage terminals,,R,,Y,,G,,W,,C...you have to connect R,,Y,,G,,and W at the furnace to R,Y,G,and W at the thermostat...so you have to use at least 4-conducter tstat wire between the tstat and furnace...typically you would use the red wire to connect the R terminals at tstat and furnace,,green wire for G terminals,,yellow wire for Y terminals and white wire for W terminals.. if your tstat wire doesnt have those exact colors it doesnt matter,,just be sure that the wires connected to R,Y,G,and W at the tstat are connected to R,Y,G,and W at the furnace respectively...if your tstat is programmable and requires a common wire to operate,,then you will need a 5 conducter tstat wire between tstat and furnace...the fifth wire, whatever its color, will need to connect the C terminal at the furnace to the common wire terminal at the tstat,,usually the common terminal at tstat is labeled C but not always.....as far as the outdoor unit goes..you will need at least a 2 conducter tstat wire to connect the Y and C terminals at the furnace to Y and C wires or terminals in the outside unit,,usually 24 volt polarity doesnt matter at the outdoor unit,,in other words as long as the 2 wires outside that are connected to the Y and C terminals in the furnace are connected to the [low voltage] 2 wires / terminals it will work,,unless one of the wires / terminals outside is clearly labeled as common.in that case make sure whatever tstat wire is connected to that wire / terminal is connected to C back at the furnace.....so at the furnace there will be one wire [red] connected to R....2 wires connected to Y. [ one going to Y at tstat, the other going to outdoor unit]...one wire [green] connected to G. and one wire [white] connected to W.....and one wire [common, usually blue] connected to C unless tstat requires a common wire,,in that case there will be 2 wires connected to C at the furnace.......hope i made it clear enough.......dan

Q: Wire runs from breakers to a wall outlet along the garage wall
you need ot use ordinary romex of a guage that will serve the power draw you intend it for and a breaker to match. i fyou already have breakers you intend to use, be sure to use the proper guage of romex so as to not have an electricsal fire. furhter, you usually have to enclose romes, it cannot be exposed along a wall if it comes from the breakerbox. you can get romex in conduit at home depot, etc.
Q: how we can predict the maximum load that stainless steel cable wire can achieved?
And if you refuse to believe the first answer, then Contact the manufacturer.
Q: (PRIOR TO READING, I SUGGEST YOU LOOK AT THE IMAGES AS IT WILL MAKE THINGS A WHOLE LOT EASIER TO UNDERSTAND)I purchased 2 neons from Repco. That run off your cigerette lighter with an adaptor. They worked fine, until my friend got in my car, and accidentally dropped something on the adaptor which caused it to malfunction, and bam, my in-car neons (placed up under the dash, near where your feet rest) went out.
wire is wire. If it really is silver then theoretically it should conduct electrcitiy better than copper. But that doesn't really matter much. wire is wire. all it needs to be able to do is carry the electrical current. If wiring truly is your problem, then that will work fine.
Q: Question:What is the point of new wires? Everyone keeps saying thicker wire. What does that thicker wire do? Does it carry a different force? I thought the ligature bands is what gives the wire the force? I'm kind of confused! Also, do you get a thicker wire everytime? Is this thicker wire visibly thicker and noticable?Does the thicker wire cause a drastic diff in pain?Thank you for your help and answering my question about my previous question.
The wires are memory wires. So over time they move your teeth back to the original U shape the wire was in. The thicker wire corrects your teeth more. You won't always get a thicker wire, but you won't be able to tell just by looking. A thicker wire will hurt more for about three days but then you will get used to it, just like the previous wire they put in.
Q: I have two kicker cvr 12s looking to wire them to an acoustic 601se amp can someone please tell me how to wire them like by matching the dots up and stuff.
Wire okorder /.. . This will drop the ohms down to 2 ohms each and this way of wiring sound much better.
Q: I am re wiring a hanging lamp. I know the black wire is the hot. My problem is this, the replacement wire is gold. There is no apparent groove in the wire, but one side does have writing on it. If I remember correctly the side with the writing is the hot?
Check the cord that you are using. Feel it with your fingers and try to find a ridge on one wire or the other. This is the indicated conductor that would usually be the neutral or white side of the lamp socket. This is the shell or outer side of the lamp holder. At the plug end it should go to the larger blade of the cord cap. It may also have a thread in one of the wires. As long as it is consistent and the neutral is wired to the shell the electricity does not care which wire it goes through. The issue is when someone wires the line side or the smallblade of the plug to the outside or shell of the lamp. Too many so called electricians on here have no clue about how to wire any thing. If in doubt at all, call a qualified professional electrician to do the work.
