- Your power supply will come with a standard assortment of cables to supply power to various components ASSUMED to be in your system. But you will want to read reviews of your chosen power supply before you buy it to find out what (specific) cables are included. Most modular power supplies will have the right cables for motherboard and hard drives and optical drive. The connections you need to pay attention to are the PCI-Express cables. High-end video cards will need at least one power connection. Some video cards need TWO power cables for EACH card. If you plan to run multiple cards, you could need 4, 6 or even 8 PCI-Express power cables! So you need to think ahead to decide how many (maximum number) of video cards you will want to install in the system. Then figure out what specific model. Then add up the number of PCI-Express power cables needed by type. Such as: (2) six-pin plus (2) eight-pin. Now you are ready to read reviews of your chosen power supply to see if it has the right cables included. Thermal paste often contains heavy metals. So it's not good to touch it with your finger. But momentary contact is not a problem, as long as you wipe it off and/or wash your hands shortly afterward. The main problem with touching thermal paste (with finger or otherwise) is that you don't want to remove too much of it from the heatsink/CPU area...or it won't cool properly. - How can you have cable without a cable connection? If they come with an antenna, you get off-the-air programs. To get cable, the TV needs to have a cable tuner and you need to have a cable feed.
- Q: Hey! I bought a new sound system for my truck including 4 new speakers, a sub, a 5-channel amp, and I'm running all new wiring. So far I've got the 3 RCA cables ran, along with the blue remote turn-on wire along the right side of my truck. I plan to run the Power wire down the left side and then to my amp.I've heard that you put the power wire and RCA cables on different sides, which is what I've done, but is it ok for my speaker wires to be run beside or close to the power wire(4-gauge fyi)?For example, the right side speaker wires wont be near it, but the left side speaker wires will be...Will this cause any weird noise from my speakers?I don't have the names/etc of all my gear right in front of me, but if u rly need it, I will quot;add detailsfor you! - Good....That will depend on how tremendous the amp is. An extension twine has either 2 or three wires inside of at someplace between sixteen and 12 gauge wire. You could twist the entire conductors together and be good up to about forty amps with three 12 gauge wires. The obstacle with amplifiers is present now not voltage. The thicker the wire the extra present it's going to manage. Most any wire you purchase is rated at least 120V. Determine what measurement fuse the amp requires, whether it is greater than 30 to 40 amps i would buy the correct size single wire for the amp. Additionally, fuse the wire at the battery. Fireplace shouldn't be our friend. :)

- All TV repair people have all the power cables they could need. BUT... if they think that your fault could simply be a fault in your cable, then they may take it with them, though they would be more likely to try swapping it on your premises before removing the set.

- Not sure what power in half the power cable means. Are you saying (for example) you have a 6 foot power cable coming off the battery to the amp and only 3 feet has power and the other 3 feet doesn't? I would isolate the power wire from start to finish. I would bypass the power wire by running an external wire from the battery terminal to the amp. Basically, disconnect the old power wire from the battery (or source of power) and amp. Then run a temporary wire from the battery to the amp. If everything works then something is wrong with the original power wire.

- Q: Does anyone know if there are adapters to convert an extra PCI Express power cable to a 4-pin molex power cable? My Power supply has 3 PCI Express power cables and I only need to use one of them, but I could use the extra power cables.
