It really depends on where the burn mark is (traffic area etc). I know some carpet places will actually cut a section of carpet out totally and refit another piece cut from a different area, like a walk in robe or closet. I have seen the repair jobs done by a PROFESSIONAL and you cant tell the difference. I know this wont help you if you don't have an area to sacrifice another piece. Thanks!: First notice if your cat is showing other signs of other problems, like hiding away much of the time, drinks more water than usual, eating less----things like that, as it could be a urinary infection causing him to pee on the rug. I have 3 cats of my own and have had 3 before these and at least 2 of them showed the symptoms I mentioned and they needed to be treated by a Vet right away. Turned out to be a Urinary Tract infec. It's easily treated and an antibiotic will be given. Please tell your Mom not to give up on Kitty yet! A Vet can tell by an exam and feeling your cat's tummy area for any swelling and get a urine sample as well to get a diagnosis. But, in my exp. with animals, once the infection is cleared up, the ususual areas cats tend to pee in and on, quits after the inf. clears up. Hope this helps!
