- Q: ok so i have a power acoustik ov2-2200 amp right now and all my wires are working fine with this amp....i am going to buy a lanzar MXA282 which is more wattage (RMS)Do i need to get any new wires to hook this amp up? like the power ground or remote wires? thx... sorry for my ignorance :/
- What size wire do you have now? You will most likely have to upgrade your power wire with that new amp. It is rated at 2000w RMS of total output so that would mean you would need a 1/0 gauge wire. All you need to upgrade is the power wire and the ground wire. The remote wire or RCA won't need to be upgraded. You will also probably need to get a new fuse box for the larger wire. If you get an amp kit you can get everything you need. Good Luck!!!
- Q: What are the advantages of electric tape over electric wire for a horse?Thank you!!
- electric tape is easier for the horse to see especially if you use a thick one so its safer but after time its hard to see breaks in the little wires that run through it so electric may not pass through as good or even short out. so wire is better in this respect if it breaks you can see it! i use tape for bottom and top, with wire running with the top tape to make sure the electric is getting round the field.
- Q: first wire change
- Depends on how many little kinks he's putting in it. Also depends on how fast he works, if your wire needs a lot of work or a little, and if he already has an idea of what he wants to do or if he's just guessing along the way. It shouldn't take longer for him to make the actual kinks than it does the remove and replace the wire. That's a little more labor intensive and can take about 5-10 minutes for each wire. The whole thing, uninterrupted might last 30-45 minutes.

- Q: Which internet is faster and quality?
- Wired Internet, but i recommend wireless to laptops.
- Q: I have two ceiling lights in my kitchen that come into the same wiring box (light switch). It's a single light switch that controls both lights. I want to install a two fixture light switch so that I can turn on each light by itself. It looks like there are only two wires coming into the box...a black one and a white one (and a ground wire). The two-switch I bought is requiring three wires though. How do I wire this thing?
- You would need an additional run of 2/14 wire ( 14 gauge wire , black, white and ground ) to go from the switch box to one of the fixtures for this to work. All of the bare grounds in the switch box would be joined with one going to the ground terminal on the switch. All of the common ( white ) wires in the switch box would be joined with a wire nut. The black wire supplying power to the switch would go on the side with the single terminal. One of the black wires to one light would go on one of the terminals on the other side. The new black wire would go on the other terminal on that same side.
- Q: I need thick floral wire and they keep saying things like 24 gauge 26 gauge 28 gauge.. like how would i know which one is thiickest if i'm buying it online.
- Florist Wire Gauge
- Q: How are wired differ from wireless doorbells, next how are they installed and finally the cost of them?
- Wired have a wire that connects the button near the door, the transformer, and the chime. When the button is pushed, the transformer energizes the chime, causing it to ring. You, or an electrician, must fish wires to a location where a transformer can get a constant supply of power, such as an outlet. There also need to be wires fished to the chime and the button. Wireless work with radio waves. Costs vary widely, depending on the setup you go with. Decent wireless units start around $35-40, and go up from there. New chimes for wired systems start around $8 and up. Transformers start at $10, buttons start around $5. Hope this helps.
- Q: I'm looking to install a ceiling fan in a fixture that recently had just a light (no idea if it ever had a fan). When I removed the old light, I found that there were three white wires from the ceiling twisted together and connected to the white wire on the light fixture, one black wire from the ceiling connected to the black wire on the fixture, and three black and one white ceiling wires just capped together, not connected to the light fixture.Any idea what the last 4 wires are? I would think that I just need to leave them alone, however, I have to replace the box in the ceiling with one that is rated for a fan, which means I need to (temporarily) disconnect them. I have the breaker turned off that turned the light off, but can I be 100% sure that power to those other 4 wires if also off?
- Cotton is right and even though you have low voltage I shut the main off to for sure when I am on a ladder because even the little shock might be enough to make you lose your balance and fall
- Q: i have a 3mm diameter wire that has only a single thick conductor and it's really really hard?how do i know if it is a magnetic wire or not?are thick magnetic wires hard or soft to be wrapped?are there other types of wire that have a single conductor thick conductor?note: single thick conductorgt;gt; i mean they are not thin parallel collected wires like usual
