Q: I recently re-wired my house with 4 wire telephone wire. They all meet in the attic. How do I wire them together and is there some kind of junction plate I can use? Additionally, I did also wire my house with Cat6 wire, but would like to keep it strictly for Internet.: (links just for reference, from search engine results)

Q: (For my PC)I want to have a quadrophonic speakers (4 channels), but i want to extend 2 speakers, but their wires are limited and cant extend enough to reach my rear? what should i do?is it as simple as, cut the speaker wires and extend it with a common copper wire that you mostly found on most appliance you found on your home?: Yea ive tried extending and cutting the coper wires, this situation has its faults if you decide to do it this way so id suggest just grabbing another at a local shop or OKorder.

Q: I am in the process of installing a new thermostat, but I ran into the problem: new thermostat has 4 ports W, Y, R and G. But the old thermostat has 5 wires: W, Y, G and B. I am not sure where B wire (black color) should go. Do I need to look for another thermostat that has a port for B wire?: The black wire should be for ground. You and try to connect it without the black first to see if everything works ok, if it does tape off the black and tape it to the other wires. If not look at your UPM diagram and see which port is for ground and it should hook up with that wire. But I would double check with the heat pump wiring diagram to see what that black goes to and verify that wire with a multimeter.

Q: Kind of a confusing question I guess. I want to cut a wire that contains 3 other wires and splice into them then reconnect them. is all I need relatively the same gauge wire or is it potentially different type like some sort of special speaker wire..? Should be one positive one negative and the other some sort of signal for sound. (Microphone to a speaker). All I need is standard copper wire?: Wires are as different from each other as people with almost as many variations. Wires are designed for specific purposes. For audio, the different color wires are used for phasing of the speakers. You won't get anything out of a speaker by connecting a microphone to it unless there is an amplifier between the two components. Generally, I mean really generally, if you keep the same gauge wires and connect the same wire colors together, you should be okay. But that greatly depends upon what you are really doing with the wires.

Q: I got molds done a while back for my finishing wires on my braces. I'm getting them Tuesday, but I'm not really sure what the difference is between finishing wires and the wires I have now. They are pretty strong wires that snap tightly into your brackets so the orthodontist can finely control the teeth and line everything up nicely. I can't say how long until you get your braces off...that's kind of a case by case basis. Typically the wire retainers are better than the clear ones from a hygiene perspective. They can also be adjusted unlike the plastic ones.

How is bonsai wire different from regular wire and what would be a good substitute for it????: Bonsai wire may be purchased with coatings of various natural colors so it will not distract attention. Also, bonsai wire is usually single strand conductor because it is stiffer and will retain its shape better than multistrand. . Generally, wire is wire.
