Q: instead of using the wire its self could you put a terminal at the end of your audio wire and connect it to the amp, for your car audio. Because I just ordered 1/0 awg wire, but I don't think the wire will fit on the amp, so could I put a Y terminal at the end of my 1/0 gauge wire and connect that to my amp?

Basically, yes. The wiring you placed is caused a switch loop. if you connect the black feeder wire to the white of the switch, and the switch is turned on, then the black wire of the switch loop will be hot. Connect this to one side of the light fixture and the white of the feeder to the other side.

by wiring kit do you mean the amps power kit? some of which will include speaker wire for the subs anyway usually your amp will come with instructions that tell you what the minimum gauge is the amp will accept for power, this is the gauge power and ground cable you will want to get maximum power to the amp and to prevent overheating issues, typically amps under 400 watts rms power will do fine with 8 gauge, amps 400-1000 rms will use 4 gauge and 1000+ will use 2/0 gauge wire, for the subwoofer speaker wire you can never go too big gauge only too small, a kicker 12 gauge speaker wire will work for almost any application

Q: My telephone doesn't work. No Dial tone. When I plug the phone into the box outside the phone works so that tells me it is the wiring going into or in the house. The phone repairman put in a new phone box outside because the old one wasn't accessible anymore (we accidentally built a porch over it) when he did that he spliced the wire going from the old box to the new box. The wires that he spliced hang down under the porch. There are 4 wires coming out of each wire, but only two are spliced together. Should the other two be spliced also? I'm thinking maybe they were but my dog has messed with them. The phone service went down all of the sudden and I don't really know anything else to check. Any ideas?
each phone line uses a pair of wires (2 wires) these wires would normally be green/red or blue/white and solid blue for line 1 and if needed yellow/black or orange/white and solid orange for line 2... you did the first step in troubleshooting to know that the trouble resides inside your home... so when you call into your line does the phone ring busy (or go straight to voice mail) or does it just keep ringing.... if it rings busy (or straight to VM) then there is a short on the line... this is possibly a defective phone, a phone that is off the hook, or a bad jack or wire... if the phone just keeps ringing, then there is a broken wire somewhere...... since the old NID is no longer accessible, you may need to run a section of wire from the new NID to one of the existing jacks in your home to back feed the jacks... if you do this i recommend disconnecting the wire that is going from the new NID to the old NID, as if you reverse the polarity you may end up shorting out your line with the new wire...

The fan will run no matter which way the wires are connected. The AC that is going to run the fan has no specific polarity like DC does. The only question would be safety. See if there's a green screw anywhere on a metal part of the fan. If there is, you should run a ground wire to it. There might not be, and in that case, because the fan only has 2 wires, it must be double insulated and will pose no shock hazard. You've probably seen electric drills with no ground wire. These are double insulated and are safe to use without a ground wire.

Mike is correct. What country are you in? China or Korea? I work as an electrician on industrial equipment. Building a 380 machine now for China. Anyway, it is current that counts. I have used 22 AWg for 480V voltage meters and 2AWG for 24V.

This is more of an engineering question than a physics question... Wired communications offer direct communication links over cables. Each channel has a high bandwidth, and because there are relatively few limitations on the number of cables you can place in parallel, A practically infinite number of channels is possible under the right conditions. Wireless communications work by producing electromagnetic waves encoding signals that can be picked up at the receiving end. The number of available frequencies in the EM spectrum is quite limited, and due to the presence of comparatively large amounts of noise in the environment, there are huge tradeoffs between signal bandwidth, signal power, and the number of available channels. Cellular communications exploit short range communications and wired networks to provide more channels at the expense of requiring more towers with tighter spacing. Overall, wireless communications are much noisier (they experience a lot of signal loss), and they require much more power than their wired counterparts. They are also much more vulnerable to security issues.
