Q: My back is starting to hurt from me lying on my bed whilst playing x-box and its time for a change, its my birthday coming up so i would like something different a a good bean bag or gaming chair.Which one should i get and which is comfier ?
Gaming chair. Many gaming chairs provide back support, and some come with surrond sound.
Q: I just recently had my floors changed from carpet to parquet (that wood-looking surface). It looks great but I don't want the chairs for my dining table to scratch it up. What can I put on the legs of the chair to keep it from making that scratchy noise and messing up the parquet (something that looks GOOD [no tennis balls please])
Rob S. has covered it pretty well. I would add however that the adhesive on the felt pads tend not to be the best, so one of two things usually happen. One-After you push back from the table a couple of times after a large meal the pads will shift off-center from the legs. Two - After a year or two the adhesive dries out and the felt no longer sticks. I find a couple of tricks work very well to help these inevitable issues. Make sure the tips of the chairs are clean. Then use some low grit sandpaper and rough up the tip. Again clean the tip to remove all dust. Apply the felt and put weights on the seat for at least 24 hours. Or (and this worked best for me) I used a small drop of construction adhesive to permanently affix the felt to the tips. Hopes this helps.
Q: i'm 15 and i'm redoing my room, getting a new big white bed and right now i have this desk chair that i don't like, and i was wondering if i could like redecorate it? like it's a chair on wheels, with a back support and a gap separating it from the part you sit on, and i would like to make it more arm-chairish?(it doesn't have handrests and i won't bother trying to put those on!) :)and umm i'd like to make it in possible navy blue silk or something i'm not sure yet, kind of like jenny's dark pink armchair thing on gossip girl?well if you have any tips :D
Staples won't work because your desk chair is probably plastic or maybe metal and not wood. I would sugges slip covers. You can fit fabric inside out with pins, then take it off and sew it together then turn it right side out. Velcro will close the open side around anything that sticks out.
Q: I have a padded computer chair which the seat part has now been flattened (due to much use) and is no longer comfortable. Doe anybody know any way to fix this at home? or can recommend any places where i could get it repaired? The chair was about $200 so anything more expensive to repair it would be a waste. Thanks :)
Line it with toilet paper lol? *Well sorry my answer wasn't good enough
Q: I am looking for a comfortable, durable, and preferably affordable office chair to use for long hours of use. Any suggestions? Best answer goes to the person that provides me information of what I looking for. Thanks in advance.
I okorder / and I would highly recommend a commercial grade chair since you are using it for long periods of time. Look for something ergonomic (not just the word ergonomic but true feature). Look for seat depth adjustment, independent backrest, lumbar support and what type of foam they use. Molded injection is more durable and lasts longer, cut foam is softer but doesn't hold up as well. As for price you are probably looking at $250+ but should get a lifetime warranty and plenty of use from the chair average 8 years.
Q: The chair has a handle on the right side that allows the chair to go to full height when not occupied. After it is occupied an hour or so, the chair sunks to the lowest level. I do not see any liquid leaking. Is there some adjustment I can make or seal to replace? If so--how do I do it?
Find out who made the chair and if they have a web site. They might have advice or replacement parts. If the chair is company property, maybe you can ask for another chair. If it is yours, maybe it is under warranty.
Q: I brought this rather expensive office chair 1 year ago. Yesterday I sat down to hard on one side of the chair and know its like a buckeroo cowboy! It feels as if the chair is sitting on the pole and its leaning drastically whatever I slightly put weight on, so if I sit slightly forward it just about tips me off, if i lean slightly to the right it nearly tips me off to the right. What can I do, what part do you think has gone?
I doubt the chair is ruined, it just needs some routine maintenance. Most such chairs have 4 screws which hold the bottom of the chair seat to a metal bracket on the top of the pneumatic height adjusting column [the pole you mention]. It is common for these screws to work loose, and often some actually fall out on the floor. I SUSPECT that this is what has happened in your case. It sounds like you have at least two [maybe 3 - left front and rear, and right rear] screws totally gone [on the side OPPOSITE to the direction to which it's ,,,tilting drastically... Turn the chair upside-down, and examine the four slotted screw openings in the metal bracket on top of the vertical support column. Tighten any loose screws, and get down on your hands and knees to try to find any missing screws. IF there are any missing screws, remove one of the remaining screws and take it to a local, neighborhood HARDWARE STORE, and get IDENTICAL replacements for the missing screws [and I always get 2 or 3 extras to keep in my desk drawer for when another screw is lost - it WILL happen]. Use IDENTICALLY THREADED [AND LENGTH] screws, and periodically recheck and re-tighten all screws.
Q: Who invented the electric chair?
The Chair Wizard's father.
Q: What were your schools desks and chairs like ? Mines are graffitied and 2 people sit at them but they are sometimes in rows, the chairs are these horrible plastic things which make sitting on rusty nails comfier ...
School desks and chairs seem no more comfortable today than they were almost 50 years ago when I started school. I attended a two day workshop in a school a couple of weeks ago, and had to sit at student desks and chairs for those two days, and it was not fun. I cannot believe that we cannot do better than that! I think it always comes down to money. Schools don't have a lot of money to spend on furniture, and you get what you pay for.
Q: Ok I have Chair test 4days and already 2 passed and I did HORRIBLE but I know my music Inside out and so right when I hold up my instrument my nerves take over me so much I feel horrible I play the wrong stuff complety and too fast how to overcome these nerves??
make certain you have your fingerings down, examine your intonation when you prepare, and stay calm! i've got seen a lot of human beings(myself blanketed) screw up their auditions because of fact they have been particularly, particularly apprehensive. Take some deep breaths earlier you audition and save a funky head. particularly, what's the extra severe which will ensue? You stay a 2d violin? in the grand scheme of issues, this could no longer make a lot of an impact, so in simple terms save cool and do your terrific~
