Q: so this summer im thinking just for fun me and my friend should make chairs. so im thinking what this project will cost me. and also i have NO tools other then like a screw driver probly. so im wondering all together how much am i looking at and also plz list all the tools and there prices as well.: Chairs are ambitious projects for a beginner. They must be both engineered and built well so they withstand use and designed well so they look and feel nice. To add to the complications, most chairs have no square joints. I think you'd better consider another project.

Q: Is a 'Ergonomic' the same as 'high back' office chair or is it different? I have a normal office chair but my son told me that a ergonomic chair will help me with the back pain. What's the different?: great diff. a leather-based chair in a workplace is wonderful and snug and not threatning or frightening however the chair interior the dentist workplace is frightening i dont like them lol reason i dont like all medical doctors chair or workplace chair interior the room lol i comprehend wahts coming

Q: i just got a chair and its at perfect height when its all the way down.. but when i get off the seat.. the chair shoots back up.. when i sit back down, it sinks all the way down.. please tell me a way the seat can just stay down without going back up when im not on it..?: I don't know what make and model your chair is, and thus what features it has, BUT... most of these chairs has a pneumatic cylinder in the support column, and for adjusting seat height, a LEVER beneath the seat, usually near the right front corner as you sit in the chair. To use this type of adjustment, you press the handle upward against the bottom of the seat, and THEN sit on it, forcing the seat down. When the seat is down, or at the desired elevation, release the handle, and the seat should stay there. If you want the seat at a higher level, remove ALL load from the seat, press the release handle, and a spring should lift the seat. Then when you have the desired height, release the handle and the seat should stay at that level. IF the seat is raising all by itself when you're not sitting on it, I suspect that the adjusting VALVE is not seating properly, and allows air back into the cylinder, and the spring raises the seat [sort of like magic!!!!]. Turn the chair over and check the valve [if it's not concealed] and look for lint or debris which is keeping the valve from fully seating and sealing the vent hole. IF the chair is new, I recommend returning it to the place you bought it and REQUEST REPLACEMENT on the basis that the chair is DEFECTIVE. If it's not new, then it's a matter of either cleaning the valve, or if it's not blocked, then repairing it so it can seat [and seal] properly.

Q: Hi, i had a chair a long time ago that was the shape of a shallow bowl and was made of wicker and roughly 5 ft in diameter. I have found similar chairs called saucer chairs but none of them with an independent base or made of wicker. Also it had an independent cushion/pillow that sat in the wicker frame.I found one once and it had a strange name, anybody know what im talking about?: maybe you're talking about the EGG chair

Q: For Christmas this year I want to do really personal gifts because they are the most fun and I think people enjoy them the most. So I was thinking for one of my friends I would go get a chair from good will and paint it and make it look like hello kitty because she loooves hello kitty. I want the back of the chair to be the face of hello kitty. Any ideas of how I could make it looks like that. I want it to actually take the shape of it not just be painted on it.: If you can find a chair that has a solid back instead of rails, you could go to your local lumber yard and ask them to cut you a shape that will cover the top back of the chair, and glue it on. Or you could find a chair with a round seat and just paint the seat instead. Or if you get discouraged, just paint the chair the exact color of Hello Kitty stuff, and she can use it as a co-ordinating piece to go with what she already has. . .

Q: I want a more comfortable chair when I'm sitting at my desk, because the chair I have is kind of uncomfortable. I was wondering if there was a chair/couch type thing that is really comfortable. If you have to work at your desk, check out chairs that are specifically designed for desks as they offer many features that are comfortable, support and protect your back for long hours at the desk.

Q: Me and my fiance are getting married on June 30th and we cannot find a way to decorate our wedding chairs for cheap!! We do not have much money, but have 150 people attending our wedding... so you do the math lol. We just have plain brown folding chairs that we got for free through our reception sight, if anyone has any ideas PLEASE help! We don't know what to do.: Tulle is very inexpensive. You could wrap white tulle or tulle in your wedding colors around the chair backs. Or tie a Tulle bow on each chair back or even every other chair.

Q: my 4 year old is in a high chair and will not dit any where else to eat her food!!what to do?: Try setting up a playdate for your daughter.. maybe if she has older cousins or neighborhood friends around her age and .. having them all sit at a table to eat. Sometimes having peer's her own age can help her adjust to new things. Taking her high chair away and putting it up in storage will not leave her a choice to sit in one. Try introducing her to a playschool toddler table and maybe having her sit there with you... while you eat a snack together.. Or try setting up her food at the family table when you serve her. Make it exciting... Maybe start off with coloring pictures at the family table before snack time, and inadvertantly bring her snack to her there ... Tell her that today is a very special day and you'll be having a special kinda snack/meal and decorate a chair at the family table for her to sit in.. like a princess chair.. Remember who's the child and who's the adult, children do what their parents allow them to do.

These are the chairs Hospitals use and Worker Comp. boards demand workers have in were repeat stress injury cases happen. They are unbelievable to sit in. Q: my 8 month old fell out of a high chair at a restaurant and cut her lip it was due to the seat belt braking while she was still in it. my shirt was very bloody and all they offer was club soda and ice.i just thought they could have done more! should i sue?: Of course you can sue, but it's the winning the case you might have a problem with. The restaurant won't be at fault because they did not make the highchair. They also probably didn't comp you for anything because, while your day was ruined, they believe nothing was wrong with the food or service. I hope she is ok and feels better.
