You can purchase what you want, and they will just take off the allowance and you pay for the extra. Not many will negotiate..this is just the way it works. No biggie..just pay the extra to upgrade to what you want. Your kitchen cupboard, countertop, bathroom, all fixtures and flooring are like this ...upgrades can be had you just have to pay the difference.
