Q: I'm new at pressing my mac pigments. I recently bought a bunch of mac pigment samples. I have two of each color with eaxactly 1/4 tsp in each. I read that your supposed to press with 3/4. Is it okay to press with less than 3/4?
Hi! Yes, definitely. You don't have to have exactly 3/4 tsps for it to work. 3/4 tsp might be the measurement needed to fill an eyeshadow pan, if that's where you're pressing your pigments. But then again, it's up to you if you want to fill the pan or not. You don't actually have to be very scientific about pressing pigments. Basically, keep dropping a few drops of 91% alcohol, mix it, and once it gets to the point that it's the the mixture holds/clumps together (you don't want it to be runny, and you'd know if it's still dry). If you put too much alcohol, you shouldn't worry b/c it dries up anyway. It just makes it hard to shape and press it. That's why the key is to put a few drops of alcohol at a time. There's really no exacty # of drops to # of teaspoons of pigments. I've pressed a LOT of pigments myself, and I don't even measure how much I use. Just be sure that after pressing it (press it firmly!), leave it open to air dry :)
Q: Just wondering but do press-ups help to build Bicep muscles mass? Or is it just chest and triceps?
Anything with a pressing motion will hit the chest and triceps muscles. If you are looking to work your biceps, do motions where it involves pulling.
Q: I'm 17 years old and a guy at school punched me (purposely.) and my head is busted open. I'm pressing charges against him. Would we have to go to court?

Q: i am going to get a bench press soon. but until then is doing press ups give the same kind of effect???
If you could have someone place a weight (like, a few 24 packs of beer, cans unopened, or a couple of big round 25lb weights) on your back while you do press-ups, then you would get more of a benefit. The thing with bench press is not only more weight, but also that with bench press, gravity is working against you because you're on your back pressing the weight up, away from you. With press-ups, gravity is working for you on the way down ... you see what I mean? If you want the same benefit, you have to have lots more weight on your back, and resist A LOT on the way down, just like you would with a bench press. :D Best of luck, and never do bench press without a spotter !!
Q: I have never bench press before in my life and really have never lifted weights. Im 15 years old and weigh about 155 and im 6 foot 1 inches. How much weight did you start with your first time I think I can do 100 lbs but is that to low. Any tips will help I plan on trying on tow days from now.Thanks
I would start out with 15 reps 1 set 30 inch wide grip, with the bare bar, and add 5 pounds every workout. I would recommend a spotter when the weight starts to feel on the heavy side at rep 15. After about 4 to 8 weeks you can change your reps and sets. I make changes to mine every 8 weeks.

Q: i have just turned 16 and weigh about 10 stone.if i bench press 20kg will it do much building do my chest muscle mass. im doing 20 cus iv just started. any tips?
i don't think so because to build muscle mass you need to do a weight that you can do only 4-5 reps of. I am 17, 9stone and bench press 100kg to build muscle and 70kg to build endurance. Try to chose a weight that you can only do a few reps in strict form. Do about 3-4 sets of these. To build chest muscle you can also try pec fly.
Q: tomorow in the football tryouts we have to lift 100lb at bench press any tip for it?
There should be a ridged part of the bar its like Put ur hands thumbs length to the outside of the length part, and tell your spotter to lift the bar when you count to 5. So count 1,2,3,4,5. As soon as he's lifting it take a deep breath and slowly bring it down to you're chest, and push it all the way up. Breath Out, Then bring back down, and repeat, etc.
Q: i coach a 6th grade school girls team and we played in a league last year were you couldnt press till the last half but this year we moved to a bigger more competitve league that presses the whole game.last year during the 2nd half all the teams played full court man to man. but they would get confused when the other team subed.so i would like to know a easy to learn press that puts double teams on the ball handlers cause at this age they usely dont have but a couple of girls that can handle the ball and can easily go to half court if they beat the press across half court

Q: I just started bench pressing twice a week. I want to build muscle on my chest. I also do flat bench though so I'm not desperate to see results quickly. This is my second week of bench pressing twicedumbbell flies. I love doing them because I can feel the workout a lot on my chest. I just recently started a week.When will I start seeing results though?? I don't drink protein shakes because i hear they just make you fat. Is it true?I would like to hear suggestions???
I see what you are going through because I am going through the same thing. I do dumbell chest flies and dumbell chest presses, lateral raises, each consisting of right now 3 circuits of 20 reps of each exercise(3 times a week) and for me i did not start seeing results not until after 3 weeks . answering your question you should be seeing results at around 3-6 weeks. because it depends on many factors e.g what you are eating? how many times you do your exercise a week? and your body type. I would also suggest you doing 20-30 reps of lateral raises into your work out. going to your second question.as far as protein drinks i have the same fear as you have. that is why i don't drink it right now.(eventually I am going to give it a try) but I hear it doesn't make you fat. I helps you repair give nutrients your muscle tissue during your off workout hours. I hope that this information helps you. and remeber don't expect your body to look the way you want it to be over night. it takes a long time to get it there.
