- Q:I recently started lifting heavier with much lower reps and hit the 400 pound bench press. I am looking to try for the 450 mark. I was curious as to what kind of Routines and styles people use/used that helped them reach goals. I am currently 5'8 and very lean at about 185lbs give or take about 5lbs. Eating is the hardest task for me because I lack a big appetite, however I try to eat 3 solid meals a day with a snack or 2 in between. Mainly Chicken and Rice. I am curious about length of workouts/exercises/routines/rep ranges/supplements. I use some cheap generic protein to cut down on costs along with Jack3d for my pre workout drink.
- dude i think you're good to go. 400 is high enough. do something else with your life.
- Q:I know it makes coffee, but if I went for a French Press as a replacement for buying an espresso maker could it do the same thing?
- No, though the French press will make excellent brewed coffee, nothing is like an espresso maker. My preference is for a real one that accepts ground coffee, and eventually also soft coffee pods from any brand, not the Lavazza or Nespresso types that don't give you the choice. Ah, and of course, the best is to buy (roasted) coffee beans and to grind them yourself (using a coffee and/or spice grinder) I have a DéLonghi espresso maker, quite basic and not expensive (~80 $). Very convenient and great coffee! Enjoy!
- Q:and can you imagine Pacquiao or Mayweather pressing 200-250lbs
- Not usually. Most that I know at least don't lift any weights because it makes it harder to cut weight when you are getting ready for a fight. Also most weight lifting like bench pressing don't add muscle you need for fighting. Personally I was told not to lift weights and I am just an amateur. And the pro boxers I train with don't lift any weights.
- Q:I need to have pressed dogwood flowers for something by Wednesday morning and I know how to press normal flowers fast using a microwave and homemade press, but these flowers have little thick green things sticking out in the middle and I don't know how to crush them to where I can press the petals too. The petals are really thin. In case it's not completely in-your-face obvious, I'm a novice at pressing flowers. I've only done it once. Help please? Thank you so much!!!And no, I can't use different flowers. I'm fulfilling one of many, many crazy requests from the same person.
- Don't okorder / Ours just started to bloom, a sentimental favorite here
- Q:i dont usually wear foundation, but i do sometimes wear powder to soak up oils on my skin. my skin does get very oily on my t-zone but otherwise my skin isnt too oily. which would stay longer for everyday coverage? i just use them to keep the shinyness away... so pressed or loose?! i just wear them over concealer mostly. thx!Z
- Of the three, liquid. yet the two longest enduring foundations i've got ever had have been MAC Studio fix Powder with a putting powder on suitable of it, and then Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse (it does not continuously stay all day... even though it has till now)
- Q:I have a 2000 Mazda Miata and up until recently it has functioned perfectly. Recently it started to make a squealing sound when the clutch was pressed. I noticed the sound would go away as soon as the car warmed up. Now however the problem has leveled. The car now stalls every time i press the clutch. If I press the clutch it makes that squealing noise until stalling the car. I have not driven it since it stalled on me. My question is what is causing all of this mess? and am I pretty much at the point of no return? Will I pretty much have to replace my whole transmission?
- Sounds like the clutch release (throw out) bearing sounds like it is frozen. Time for a clutch job.
- Q:The 'Up' Button on my monitor presses on its own and holds and that maxes my contrast, i have locked the buttons but its still auto pressing, and i know this because a message 'Buttons locked' pops up, any idea on how to fix this?
- well it sounds like the switch under the button is going bad. you can break it so it can;'t be pressed ever again or you can take the plastic cap off the button so only the metal contact will show. this might solve you problem.
- Q:I was wondering, does the french press require a larger amount of ground coffee to make the same amount of cups a drip brewer could make? If this question is confusing, maybe this visualization could help.Suppose you have 1 pound of ground coffee. If im brewing this one pound with a french press, would i be making the same amount of coffee that a drip brewer could have made me?
- It actually takes less ground coffee to make it in a French Press than in a drip coffeemaker, because you get more out of less--the French press usually holds less water, but you use less ground coffee--and it tastes just as strong as drip coffee (and can be made stronger) by steeping, rather than by using more ground coffee. The longer you steep it, the stronger it gets--and more flavorful. For a 2-cup French press you can use about 3 scoops (2 tbsp coffee measures) of coffee--in a drip maker you would use 4-5 for the same amount of water.
- Q:Another question: What should I do when bench pressing to work out different areas? Grip-wise.Thanks in advance.
- The muscles used in the bench press are the following: -Pectoralis Major, but mainly the sternal (lower) head. -Triceps -Anterior Deltoids (the front segment) Other muscles that are involved but not really trained in this exercise are: -The wrist flexors/extensors (forearms) -Biceps (for stabilization) The effects of different grips - a closer grip will shift the stress onto the triceps more. A wider grip will shift the stress onto the chest more. An incline bench press will put most of the work on your clavicular (upper) pecs and anterior deltoids.
- Q:My friend told me of a chart that you follow and its guaranteed to maximize your bench press by 50lbs. Does anybody know where exactly this chart is. If you do find it or something better please post me the link.
- by bench press pyramids, increasing weight with less reps.
