Q: Simple question that i want to know answer to.
The 2 most general conditions are-bad main and rod bearings on the crankshaft which allows both the crank and rods to throw up past tolerance levels and the piston crashes into the valve. The other is usually a keeper pops on top of the valve and allows the valve to drop and crash into the piston, caused by high or prolonged rpm's
Q: I'm new to motorcycles, and don't know a lot. I've always been a fan and I am finally buying my first one, but I don't have anybody to teach me a lot of the basics. I just recently got the basics of gear shifting up and down, but I don't know how to go from say fifth to first or fourth second , if I need to rapidly slow down or make an extreme stop.I understand that neutral is right after first, can I jump from 1st past neutral to 2nd.I also would like to know the rpm range I should be in for the different gears 1st 2nd 3rd etc.Plus a side question. When I go to one of these schools to get my endorsement, do I have to bring my own bike? or do they usually provide one? meaning do I have to trailer my bike there?I know it's a lot to take in, but this is coming from a person who has very little experience, so helpful answers would be greatly appreciated.
I would recommend trying to find a MSF (motorcycle safety foundation) riding class in your area. They will teach you the correct way to ride. When my wife wanted to learn how to ride her own bike I sent her to one of their classes. best money I've spent in a long time. They supplied the bike, and taught her what to do without her learning any of my bad habits. You can google them or check with your local DMV for information in your local area. These classes are inexpensive and many places make it much easier to get your license when you complete the class.
Q: Okay I started riding two days ago and crashed confusing the clutch for the front brake and the actual front brake for the back, rode a pedal bike most of my life -___- like my dad is going to let this happen, but is there a system or way to switch everything around? Make the back brake on my Honda crf the clutch make the front brake the rear and make the clutch the front brake?
I guess anything is possible just forget about the bicycle you are now riding motorcycles get used to them
Q: Hey! I‘m about to get my A2 motorcycle license and i don‘t know what motorcycle should i buy. I have to say that i‘m looking forward a 400cc-500cc, it must be a sport bike and fun to ride. Would you guys give me some sugestions?
umm try stv i saw some there and the bad lands theres really no place where youll find alot
Q: Question is straight forward, but if you want a reference on which to base your answer, I‘ll explain. If not, answer away :)As in: To handle. To get up to speed. Clutch control. And other ways,
It's a straightforward question, but the answer is anything but. For the most part, a smaller motorcycle is much easier to ride at slower speeds and shorter distances. It's a weight thing and it's much easier to balance a lighter bike at slower speeds. Everything at slower speeds is easier on a lighter bike: starting, clutch control, slow speed maneuvering, high speed maneuvering, braking, turning, stopping, everything. Off roading is much easier on a light bike. One thing bigger heavier bikes do well that smaller lighter bikes can have trouble with, it handle heavy winds and just cruise for hours on end on the open roads. Bigger heavier bikes have big heavy engines and run into headwinds much easier than light bikes. They generally handle side winds better too, though the shape of the bike makes a difference there too. Bigger heavier bikes tend to be smoother and quieter too, especially at speed.
Q: the brake and running lights dont wrk when the motorcycle is running, but when you turn the key to auxillary then they work how do i fix this problem, the front headlights work and the blinkers work but the back break lights and running lights dont work. if there is any one who has a diagram of the bike or anything will help! thanks!
Motorcycles have up to two brake fluid reservoirs, one for the front, usually found on the handlebars and one for the back. Both should be checked regularly. Topping up should only be done from a new, sealed bottle as brake fluid tends to absorb moisture over time. If your brake pads are thin and due for replacement. Beware - brake fluid, if spilt on paintwork eats right through to the bare metal.
Q: are brakes power assisted? it seems to me that i should be able to always feather the brakes. i recently read an 2005 ducati st3 review that said brakes were prone to locking up, so i passed on the bike, ABS stuff is relatively hard to find and more expensive, any insight appreciated
Friedrich Nietzsche centuries ago. I did my final thesis paper on this for a degree in Kitchen Physics. It was invented when in a bondage phantasy role play with his wife. He became obsessed with waffles which led to a premature death.
Q: New to motorcycles. I just got a new chopper and need a few things but I need more general information on what they are/what they do. I need brakes but I do not know where to start. There are so many different kinds of brakes out there. I have weld rims, venom tires, an ultima frame and revtech 88 engine. Where should I start looking as far as categories of brakes go? I have no idea where to start!Help!?!?!?
first of all rev tech is made in TAIWAN! next theres all kinds of brakes I would use 4 piston up front and 6 piston in the back, rev tech are actually good brakes I have them on my panhead.performance machine are probably the best but very high priced,Arlen Ness is good but agin high priced. Get a catalog from FOG HOLLOW they have everybodies stuff!
Q: I have a motorcycle and i would love to make a career out of fixing and repairing them i would love to be a mechanic. Any schools around? The only one i know of is wyotech in long beach ca but the problem is i live in santa ana and what would i do if my bike broke down and i had no way to get to school? I prefer to go to a school close for if my bike broke down i would at least be able to bus it there cuz i work full time and dont live on my parents.
it might come on the motor vehicle, or already be on the motor vehicle, except you have have been given some thing fishy taking place there. they do no longer choose replaced till they the two end filtering the exhaust or destroy aside, or grow to be clogged.
