5. FAQ
We have organized several common questions for our clients, may help you sincerely:
①How about your black annealed wire?
Our company isa professional manufacturer and exporter of metal products. We have 20 years of production experience and our product category has expanded to galvanized wire, black annealed wire, welded wire mesh, welding rod, hexagonal wire netting, chain link fence, barbed wire, stainless steel wire, dutch wire mesh, perforated metal mesh, loop wire, etc
②Q:How do you ship the finished galvanized iron wire?
A:Usually by sea.
③Q:Are you a manufacturer?
A: Yes,we have specialized in this field for more than 4 years experience.
- Q: What would the wire size be for a 3 phase 4 wire - 480/277V - 400A panelboard. Would it be (3) 600mcm w/ (1) 1/0 ground?
- Three phase 3 wire is often called a 'delta' connection since the load(s) are distributed between each pair of phases. The 4 wire systems are also called 'Y' systems since the loads are distributed between each phase and a 4'th 'common' phase. The 4 wire system is intrinsically a bit safer since the common phase can also be made electrically neutral (ground). Doug
- Q: Having some trouble wiring fixture it seems to just stay on with the switch doing nothing.. here's the deal I have three different wires coming from ceiling power in, power out, and I believe switch.. there was a priovious light there so I know its correct just don't what wires go with what all help will be appreciated thanks
- Identify which wire goes where. The power in and the power out and the switch get confusing to anyone. In most cases they are all wired together and a jumper is used to wire the light. Except the return wire from the switch which is connected to the light. For a wire system using NM cable (romex) the power in is wired to the switch, the white in the switch cable is marked with black tape at each end and it is connected to the black of the power in cable the black from the switch is wired to the light, the rest of the wires are made up color to color and a short jumper is used from the whites to the light.
- Q: Has anyone tried to use or experiment to use CAT5E wire on a speaker going to Home theater receiver? If none, can you suggest a good speaker wire to use on a speaker.Paradigm Monitor Series and Onkyo TX-SR606 (Speaker and Receiver)
- Speaker wire is a big subject that prompts some very heated debates amongst the serious enthusiast crowd. Using CAT5 as speaker cable is usually motivated by either one of two thoughts: Saving money, or improving performance. I can see the point in saving money compared to say Hi-Fi speaker cables at $5/ft, but there are perfectly good OFC copper cables of decent gauge such as 79 strand that actually work out just as cheap. The other issue with cost saving is that not all CAT5e is created equal. A lot of the budget stuff from China is copper clad aluminium rather than pure copper. You'd never choose to run your speakers with aluminium cable, so why take the risk if using CAT5e? Performance is something different. That's very subjective. The reasoning why CAT5e is based on the high frequency performance of the cable. But in hi-fi world we need current delivery more than high frequency extension. My own view is that CAT5e sounds different enough to - buy not necessarily better than - basic OFC 79 strand for most listeners to hear the change fairly easily. Treble and to a lesser degree the bass gets accentuated at the expense of midrange. It's a bit like hitting the Loudness button. The sound has a bit more presence at the expense of naturalness. Personally I think the benefits are dubious and not worth the effort. Get a decent gauge OFC that's nice and flexible rather than some plaited network cable.
- Q: What does the quot;Hstand for in quot;AWG 34Hwire?Also, would Heavy Poly Nylon magnetic wire be considered enameled?
- Magnet wire is often called varnished or enameled, but it is actually insulated with a thin coating of insulating material designed specifically for the purpose. I assume that heavy poly nylon material is one of those materials. The H is probably the temperature class of the insulation. Class H insulation is rated to operate at up to 180 degrees C. Edit 1 The H could also stand for heavy as in the heavy build or double build terminology used to describe thicker than standard insulation. It is part of a specific manufacturer's catalog number rather than a part of the American Wire Gauge (AWG) designation. Manufacturer's sell many different varieties of magnet wire. The manufacturer's literature and NEMA or IEC standards provide details regarding the insulation materials used and the electrical and mechanical characteristics of the wire.
- Q: wiring kit, subwoofers
- by wiring kit do you mean the amps power kit? some of which will include speaker wire for the subs anyway usually your amp will come with instructions that tell you what the minimum gauge is the amp will accept for power, this is the gauge power and ground cable you will want to get maximum power to the amp and to prevent overheating issues, typically amps under 400 watts rms power will do fine with 8 gauge, amps 400-1000 rms will use 4 gauge and 1000+ will use 2/0 gauge wire, for the subwoofer speaker wire you can never go too big gauge only too small, a kicker 12 gauge speaker wire will work for almost any application
- Q: From my ceiling fan I have the following wires: green, white, blue and blackFrom my ceiling I have a bunch of wire in each of these colours: brown, red and orange.Which wires do I connect with each other??
- These are all probably hot-side wires. If you have the knowledge and the tools, find out which wire or wires is/are hot in the box with the switch off. If you have no idea what I am talking about, you REALLY need to find someone who knows electricity. BTW, the wires in the fan are quite simple to decode. The green wire is the ground and attaches to either the box or a ground wire in the box. The white wire is the neutral and attaches to the white wires in the box. The black is the hot lead for the fan and the blue is the hot lead for the light. These two can be combined if you have only one wall switch. Where they attach in the box will be determined by which hot lead is switched. I can probably guess how the box and switch are wired but I may be wrong and that would be dangerous. Call an electrician so you don't burn your house down.
- Q: what gauge wires should i use for my 12'' alpine typr r SWR-1242D?
- For the speaker wire going from the amp to the speaker? Try to stay above 16 gauge, I use 12 gauge as over-kill. It costs like 12 cents more per foot and is completely worth it. For the power wire going from the battery to the amp? Use no thinner than 4 gauge power and ground wire assuming your only pushing a single Type-R. Good Luck!
- Q: where also is fourth wire hooked in?
- your 4 wires are probably the white, black, ground, and traveler wire. The 4th wire, the traveler wire is needed if you want to have a 3-way or 4-way switch. Since you don't have this type of switch, otherwise it will be obvious where the 4th wire goes, just put a cap on it and tuck it inside the box.
- Q: i need an egr wiring Diagram for a 2000 Chevy Malibu. the wires got pulled out of the weather tight connector. if anyone can help i'd appreciate
- Connector view for the GM linear EGR valve are as follows: Pin# A=gray/w black wire,Pin# B=solid black wire,Pin# C=brown/w white wire,Pin# D=brown/w white wire(see note) and Pin# E=solid red wire! NOTE since pin C+D have the same color wire the correct wire must be identified by checking the voltage with the KOEO (key on engine off) the right brown/w white wire should have a 5volt reference voltage with the key on engine off! Hope this helps.
- Q: subs - dvc 4ohm 2 of them 600wattrms on each wiring it to a 1200 watt amp same brand as sub amp is 1 ohm stable to i wire the subs together and then to the amp a 1ohm? that would give each sub 600 watts right?
- no wat i would do is wire 1 speaker to 1 port and wire the other speaker to the other pot thats if it is a 2 chanel amp... cause if not u will be pulling to much from 1 side and the speakers wont sound right..... u need to turn down the amp to at first and then bring up the bass gradually to make sure the speakers can handle it..... u also have the choice to bride the amp but thats it the spakers can handle the power... all u have to do is hook up positive then negative to 1 speaker the hook up positive then negative to a diffrent speaker but it has to be from a diff channel...... but if ur going to bridge the speakers then u go positive from 1 port to the negative to the negative of the other port this will give u alot more power to ur speakers.... thats why i recomend u hooking them up regular at first........... u also have to make sure ur gornd is like a foot long or less.... the shorter the ground the more the bass
