Q:Not the wire from RadioShack, but the really thin stuff used in modded circuit boards, logic circuits, low power circuits, etc.
Thin Electrical Wire
Q:I am replacing my old electric oven with a new one. The wires on the old oven are the same as the wires on the new oven...white, red, black, and a bare wire. The wires running from the fuse box to the junction box are...white, black, and bare wire. This is 220/240 wiring from the fuse box. The oven does require 220/240. How do I wire the new oven?
No. Any electrical appliance must be wired to meet, city, state, and local fireplace Deparment codes. By and large, the latter is the strictest. In most instances, this requires an character circuit . As most ovens are 230 Volt, AC, it would require no smaller that 12 guage wire, hooked up in conduit, from the breaker box, to the receptical. The receptical need to be an accepted range receptical. This circuit will have to be linked on the breaker box, to a minimum of a 30 amp, double pole, single throw breaker. A 40 amp breaker could also be required in some states. The applying should be wired, from the terminal block, with an accredited range twine.. Some cities might also require a permit, and /or a licensed electrician. Which you can by and large get the appropriate codes at your regional metropolis administrative center, or the neighborhood fireplace Station. As consistently, when working with electrical circuits, disconnect the vigor on the important breaker, and set up a tag-outlock out device on the breaker box, to avert electricution. Q:for a kids robot kitabout a 4 inch black wire--other side is red...the tip broke off--i tried to strip it---but the rest of the wire is copper colored and thinner--the end had a harder silver tipwhat is a wire like this called--would radio shack have it--i can't seem to find it on their website
It okorder /... What you now have is stranded wire that has been tinned on one end. A tinned wire is one that has been soldered to keep the strands together and make for a stronger connection. If the wire must be flexible then replace with stranded wire. Solid wire will be easier for you to work with but not will not work as well if the wire moves a lot. Additional Yes you could solder the wires if there is enough to hook to. The size wire I think you are talking about can be soldered with about any small soldering iron and resin core solder. You might even slip a piece of heat shrink tubing over the wire before you solder the wire. After making the connection you can slide the heat shrink tubing in place, heat the tube to insulate the connection.
Q:How can I make a wire dress form?

Q:can aluminum wiring catch on fire
If you are referring to the larger aluminum wiring that is commonly found in service entrance wiring, circuits for electric ranges and such, then yes, it is safe and allowed by National Electrical Code. Please note that some jurisdictions do not accept that and do not allow any aluminum wiring. If you are referring to the smaller wires for branch circuits (regular wiring a.k.a. Romex), then you really need to be careful. This wire has been outlawed by the NEC for quite some time. Too many houses burned down because of it (my uncle's is one of them). If you have it, please have a licensed electrician inspect it soon. I cannot tell you if it is 'safe' or not in this forum. You should be looking at having it replaced.
Q:I need the wiring diagram for the factory radio of a 2008 ford explorer. i need to know which wires are for the back speakers so i can connect my Hi-Lo converter to it!? thanks
It would be easier to install an Line Output Converter on the rear speakers if the sub is going to be in the back. I personally would buy the harness pigtails for the speakers and the speaker harness. This would eliminate the need of cutting the factory wiring. You just pull the plug off the speakers in the back, and plug in the mate plug that will have a 2-wire pigtail that you would wire to LOC. The other plug with the pigtail would be plugged on the speakers.
Q:I have a set of pilot wi-200 strobe lights and they have three wires and i want to hook them up to a optx headlight strobe control module the wires are gray white and black can you tell me where to hook them
I wouldn't try it. The gray, white, and black wires are the high voltage strobe wires. The control module changes the patterns before the voltage is increased. There is nothing you can do here.
Q:I just bought a remote starter/keyless entry/alarm system, i'm looking to install it myself... I'm just wondering what gauge wire that most cars use.I'm assuming power wires are lower gauge then others, Could I use 16 gauge for power lines or would i need something larger? Thanks in advanced.
i use 16 gauge wire for my car alarm and stereo and ive had no problems so far.
Q:A potential difference of 13 V is found to produce a current of 0.37 A in a 3.1 m length of wire with a uniform radius of 0.42 cm.(a) What is the resistance of the wire? (b) What is the resistivity of the wire? Please show work.
Voltage (Volts) = Current (Amps) times Resistance (Ohms) or V=IxR = R = V/I = 13/0.37 = 35.14 Ohms Resistance = Resistivity * Length/Area The longer the wire is, the more resistance it has. The larger the crossectional area of the wire (pi times radius^2), the less resistance it has Longer wires have more resistance, thicker wires have less 35.14 = Resistivity * 3.1/pi*0.0042^2 Resistivity = 35.14*pi*0.0042^2/3.1 = 6.281 x 10^-4
Q:I have a water valve that I need to connect but I don't know how to read this diagram. I'm unsure how to connect the wires to the cold and hot valve. I have four wires that need to be connected. A pair of white caps with one blue wire and one orange; and a pair of black caps with one blue wire and one yellow wire. Sorry if this sounds confusing but I have no idea how to explain it well. Thanks!
In the diagram, there are two cold valves: valve 1 has a yellow wire to it; valve 2 has a blue and a yellow wires to it...............you may have to contact the washer manufacturer or the company that makes the valve for better installation instructions ( it's possible that all of the wires are not used in both valves )
