Q: I found an old Karavan flatbed utility trailer and am currently converting it into a snowmobile trailer (2 place). Me and a friend riped all the wire off of the trailer and completely rewired it. No matter how we configure it, the lights aren't coordinated. If we hit the left blinker in the car, all the lights flash(like the hazards are on). Right blinker works fine. we wired it first from the diagram on the karavan site. Now once we think about it, they have us wiring the ground into the light. so we searched the web and found this layout.
The problem is the difference in 4 to 6 wire . Go to an auto parts store and get the converter . It wires into your car between the plug and the tail-lights .After that , no problem with older trailer wiring .
Q: I have just bought a Clarion CZ500 and am trying to run a remote wire to the amp. Where do i connect the wire to the head unit? Please Help
Well newer head units have a blue with a white stripe but older are solid blue so if u got blue with stripe it goes there if not solid blue
Q: Where, online, can I find a (color!) wiring diagram for my 1985 Yamaha Virago 700?My motorcycle starter solenoid isn't throwing because the little wire isn't getting connected to negative -- it might be a connection to the handlebar starter switch, or the quot;run/offswitch, or the side stand sensor, or the neutral sensor, or something else! I need to see a diagram so I can tell what that something else is, and to see what color the wires from all those other sensors are.
I need a wiring diagram for a 1984 Yamaha 700 virago
Q: when checking white wire at the box it is cold when checking at the light switch it has power i am confused
The white is the neutral and has no power in it from the breaker box. When you check it at the light or switch you are getting power back through the light bulb.
Q: Well i bought new speakers for my 92 integra and when i installed them i also wanted to get new speaker wire.how would i go about installing all new wires?would you recommend have circuit city do it or is it not as hard as it looks?
Follow the old wires. It is very simple. Chances are there is nothing wrong with the old wires.
Q: I am trying to run a wire from a breaker box to a new plug. To get to the new plug, I have to run the wire over a garage with a finished ceiling, around, through, or over 2 half staircases ( bi level) to get to the unfinished wall to run to the new plug. What would be the proper way to run this wire.
You could also run the wire in wire mold which could be surface mounted to your ceiling in the garage and up walls in your stairway. Basically any place you would have bare romex showing it would covered by the wire mold. Easy alternative to fishing wires if you don't mind the look of wire chases on your wall. Personally, i would fish them where ever you can. It's almost always a better job. Check with your local electrical supply store. You may find a decorative mold you can live with. Good luck.
Q: The black wire is called ground but what is the red wire called?
In single phase AC circuits it's hot (ungrounded). In three phase AC circuits it's A phase. In DC circuits it's positive.
Q: i want to now which is the live wire and which is nuteral thank you
On AC it's black is hot and white is nuteral and on DC its black is nuteral and red is hot so be careful and don't get killed. P.S. AC stands for alternating current and DC stands for direct current, now go learn what makes them diffrent and also learn who nicoli tessla is and don't stop learning! Oh yea, while the AC unit is turned on the nuteral wire will be hot so don't touch it because the excited electrons are seeking ground so they will travel through the white wire to ground or through you!
Q: My dad is trying to wire a electric cook top...it has three wires (black, red, and copper). His junction box has four wires (black, red, white and copper). He first wired the black to black, red to red and copper to copper, he capped the white wire in the junction box. The cook top did not work. Then he connected the white wire with the two copper wires, and the cook top now works. So the question is will this connection work or will it cause a problem? And if it causes a problem what can he do to resolve it?
Hi There, This what I would do. The black and red wires from the cooktop are fine and can be connected to the black and red wires in the junction box. Check the copper wire from the stove and see where it is connected. It is probably a neutral wire used to supply 120 volts for a clock, lights or other control function. If that is the case I would exchange it for a properly sized insulated white wire. This white wire can be connected to the white wire in the junction box. Then: Connect the copper wire to a metal part of the cooktop to use as a ground wire. This wire can then be connected to the copper wire in the junction box. This would be a typical modern 4-wire 240 volt setup. Hope this helps, Al
Q: I have a 1997 saturn sc2. In the trunk of my car there was a wire dangling down from the top when i bought it. Asked seller and he didnt know. It is not the trunk light wire or has to do with any of the tailights, blinkers, brake lights. It looks like a factory wire. It has a bunch of holes in the connector.
it might be a connector for a cd changer. if it has a factory radio with a cd button, but no in-dash cd slot, that could be what youre lookin at. sounds like a square plug? maybe 10 or 12 holes?
