Q: What brands of vacuum cleaners are the best and not too expensive?
My favorite is my trusty Shop Vac! I bought the smaller one. We have only one, low-traffic room with rug, so I don't miss the beater bar. It sucks up anything, and you don't have to buy bags unless you are vacuuming fine dust. The whole thing, canister, filters, and hose can be washed. I use it for our vehicles and the whole house. And when there's a water spill somewhere, just empty the canister and suck up the water. Costs around $60.
Q: What are hovering vacuums?
I know the ones your asking about. They are actually sweepers and not vacuums. These are the little round units that run around by themselves. They work pretty good, but on carpet you will need to run the vacuum on occasion as stated above because it just sweeps.
Q: What is the internal voltage and current in the US/Canada home appliances? The question is NOT quot;what is the input voltagebut what is the actual energy that makes the work - for example the power that drives the motor of a vacuum cleaner, or the power that makes your microwave work. I think, before the actual work is done, the current from the plug outlet is converted inside the device, and that converted energy is used to make the device work. So, what are the INTERNAL power/voltage/current of the following devices and are they AC or DC?: vacuum cleaner, microwave oven, fridge, and clothes dryer? What other devices are there that that have internal voltage/current of about 12-16 volts at 60-110 amperes, preferably at DC? Thank you.
Refrigerators and vacuum cleaners runoff 110 VAC internally though the refrigerator may also use a lower DC or AC voltage for control. A dryer uses 220 VAC internally. The microwave probably depends on the brand. I'm not sure what voltage the magnetron that makes the microwaves might use. The microwave, television, stereos and things like that probably use several voltages internally. It could be from 9 VDC to 48 VDC with different voltages at different points.
Q: I really need a cheap vacuum cleaner for an art project exam,I know they can't sell them in most charity chops, I've heard the council may do some kind of scheme where they take used or old vacuum cleaners and give them to poorer households, I'd like to know more about this. Or if anyone has a broken or old/used hoover that they'd like to donate I can collect, I live in the Yorkshire area of England and would really br grateful it :]
Hi,I'm not that sure but at my local rubbish depo they sell electricals including vacuum cleaners...I suggest you go to your local depo and ask.If not you could, yes, carry on looking into the council scheme. Jake
Q: He chases lawnmowers, but when the vacuum is on, he runs for it.
lol..explain this..i have a tom cat, if he's around my son while he's on his bicycle, he will chase him...i'm being serious LOL
Q: ok i was going to vacuum both the carpet and hardwood but i don't know how to change the sliding thing on the bottom of the vacuum and where to put it should i just put it on hard? making sure because i dont want to ruin the hardwood Thanks!!!!!
most vacuums will scratch up hard wood floors so it is better to dust mop it.
Q: I have had several of the cheap vacuums from Walmart and they have all left me infuriated. I need one that will last for more than 2 months. I know that you get what you pay for and I am willing to spend some money on it, but not too much. I have 3 animals, too!
Buy okorder and find a location near you. If you let me know of a big city in your area, I can get you hooked up with one of the wholesale suppliers.
Q: My Hoover Wind Tunnel canister vacuum cleaner, which I purchased less than two years ago, bit the dust. I took it in to the authorized Hoover repair shoppe, and it will cost more to fix the darn thing than what I paid for it (well over 230 bucks). I bought it because Consumer Reports recommended it. It worked great (when it worked) but I had to take it in to repair the latch which kept the head on the wand and that cost and now this. I read up on the internet and find all sorts of complaints about Hoover, that it is no longer the company that it used to be (since it sold out to Maytag). My question is, what is a great vacuum cleaner that will not break the bank and will last more than two years? I have a dog, four kids with a stay-at-home mother so it needs to be durable, powerful, non-dust emitting, etc. Thank you very much for your input, especially personal experience with what has worked for you. God bless.
I wish I could be of assistance, but I do love the pun. Try Sears Brand Central possible. I really hope you get a Vacuum cleaner that sucks!!! ←← (Pun)
Q: Which vacuum cleaner moves easier for a person in a wheelchair? Are there controls that you have to use your feet for? How do they work in small rooms?
The new dyson dc24 with the ball is super duper light weight and easy to push and turn. I don't know anything about a shark. The dyson is nice because the hose is so easy to pop out, and it has a handle so one could easily clean crevices and corners. The switches are on the main part of the vacuum, right below the handle and above the canister. It would work very well in a small room because it is a small vacuum.
Q: chased around by giant vacuum cleaners?
No, all dogs go to heaven
