As expensive as that was ,I was not impressed and decided against sinking anymore money into it so I bought a Hoover Mach 5 which was about $200 and have liked the results I've goten with it. It is bagless and picks up pet hair very well. This was a couple years ago so a newer model than the Mach 5 is available I'm sure.Just because you pay more for something doesn't necessarily mean it is better. I would never buy another Kirby or a Rainbow for that matter.

Mine does ok with the floors but the edge cleaner is bad.: I can tell you this I go thru vacs like water.the best on to get is the one with the highest amp but no matter which one you buy none of them will do what you want that's why the added a hose and attachment.it would have to have sum suction to do that and if it did you couldn't get it to move.so for what it is worth use the hose and the attachment

The Dyson Animal is just a advertising scheme to make you believe it is well suited for animals!! The Dyson vacuum cleaners are extremely over rated and lacks in performance (especially in hepa filtration, and simply its ability to retaine dirt).
