Q: Hey, I wanna lift my 02 Galant by 3 to 4 inches and wanna give it new wheels.Gat any suggestions on brand types? Do I need ‘lifters‘ (If that‘s what you call it) for such a small change. Would I need to buy new parts because I wanna check prices etc. Also, with changing wheels, I don‘t want anything flashy or huge, just a bit wider profiles. Suggestions, comments welcomed. Thanks
Yes, that's microwave safe along with glass! RoyS- it one of those microwaves where you can set the temperature and the time- I have one. :)
Q: The input piston and output plunger of a hydraulic car lift are at the same level, as shown in the drawing. The cross-sectional area of the input piston is 12 cm2, while that of the output plunger is 1200 cm2. The force F1 applied to the input piston has a magnitude of 140 N. What is the weight W of the car? Neglect the weight of the piston and plunger.
use this formula: F1/A1 F2/A2 140/12 F/1200 11.67 F/1200 F 14,000N weight of the car is 14,000N
Q: I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue . I have a SMALL knock from my driver tire when i turn my wheel. even in park. I can turn the wheel all the way but it still only knocks when i first turn it the rest of the way i have know noise till i turn it back in the other direction. Anyone got any ideas?
I think some suspension parts are in due for replacing. Ball joint, tie rod end can cause knocks when turning specially when stationary. You can have your car lifted for the mechanic to see what are due for replacing. Good luck
Q: Looking to put 22‘ rims on the car but I need to have it lift and maybe need to have it cut in the wheel well.
By telling them not to go there. A lot of their teachings are unbiblical. No different than the SDA church.
Q: I need steps for preparation, when should I do what. I have my eyes on a Used 1997 Honda CR-V, and I need to know how should I go about this. I‘ve heard only a credit union will give me a loan for it, otherwise I‘d have to go through dealer. I also need to know, aside from checking out the car, is there anything I should prepare? Do I go to the dealer first, then the union? Or is there something at the credit union I can set up first? I‘m so confused on how this process needs to be done. I don‘t have insurance at the moment either, mind you.
First, talk to the credit union and see how much they'll loan you based on your wages and credit rating. A 1997 might be too old for even a credit union to loan you money, so you might want to find out about that first. Then go to the dealer and get the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) of the car. You can ask them for it, sometimes you can see it on the dashboard through the windshield, or it may even be on the dealer's website. You'll want the VIN so you can get a CARFAX report from the CARFAX website and see if this car has been in any major accidents. You'll also want it for the insurance company so they can tell you what they'll charge to insure it. Get a few quotes for the same amount of coverage, and ask friends, especially friends who've had insurance claims, for their recommendations. For my two cents worth, I'd try AAA Insurance. Look at the auto issues of Consumer Reports to get an idea about the reliability of this vehicle. Get the Kelley Blue Book price for this vehicle before you make an offer, and don't be afraid to walk away if they want too much for it. There are plenty of used cars out there, and plenty of dealers too.
Q: This is kind of a silly question, but my brother and I have been debating about it. Do you think Spider-man has the strength to physically lift up a car and throw it? My brother says Of course he could! where as I said He might be able to lift it and perhaps knock it over. So which one of us is right?
he can lift a car Superhuman Strength: Spider-Man possesses the proportionate strength of a spider, granting him superhuman strength. He was originally capable of lifting 10 tons or more when under extreme duress. This capacity was increased to 15 tons after an encounter with an enemy called the Queen. Now since the events in The Other, his strength has increased to the point where he can lift about 20 tons. He is able to throw objects as heavy as a car with ease. When in combat, Spider-Man must pull his punches unless fighting someone of similar or greater durability and power. Otherwise, his strength would kill a normal person. His leg muscles have developed to the point where he can easily jump several stories in a single bound. If Spider-Man is under extreme stress, he can lift several tons over his normal strength.
Q: will they rub or do i have to lift the car
Personal preference. When you are at a stop, there is no reason to have your foot on the brake pedal.
