Q: I just dropped a candle on my light colored carpet and red candle wax is everywhere. Any ideas on how to remove it?: Well I am not totally sure but perhaps if you heat water until it is scalding hot and pour it on the spot then dab at it with a towel. Do this a couple of times until the wax is gone. I don't know if it will work for sure but at least it wont ruin that spot on the carpet so much by cutting and scraping at it. If you are not worried about the carpet so much then cut it but it sounds like that you are worried about it or you wouldn't try and clean it at all. I would try the scalding hot water. Cant hurt it. I think it will work though. Then after you do that try a carpet cleaner that you can spray on and vacuum up. Might draw out any wax that is left over. Don't boil the water though, I don't know if it will melt the synthetic fibers in the carpet or not if it is boiling water. Good luck hope it works.

Q: My carpet was just cleaned and is already dirty...it shows everything! I don't want to have to get down on my hands and knees to spot clean (the entire carpet constantly needs cleaning!) and I cant afford to pay a carpet cleaner every week. The walmarts in my neighborhood have them. They are like $20 to rent for 24hours. I've heard that they work very well.

If I started him off in a big tank would it be ok? or would i have to use a smaller tank then progress?Any other cool things you guys know about Carpets I would love to hear about also!Thanks in advance! :): Carpet Pythons are semi arboreal, so they will appreciate some things to climb on when they are young and old. But as they get older they will need some pretty sturdy branches. Depending on what locality you get, it may get anywhere from 6'-12'. Carpet Pythons actually mellow out a lot when they mature a bit. They are fine with being handled, and it'll make it easier on you. You could start off in a big tank, but you have to make sure that the snake feels secure. Lots of hides, branches, etc. Plus you need to make sure there's enough heat for the whole cage. I would start off in a smaller tank if you can, but you don't have to. And one other tip about Carpet Pythons, unlike most snakes, which are usually fed prey the size of the fattest part of the snakes body, they actually can eat prey that are bigger than that, and prefer it.

Q: does anyone know how to get the smell of urine out of carpet, ive trieed ferbreeze but its not doing it, any suggestions...: One thing that always works and is inexpensive as well. Rubbing alcohol. Here's how you do it: Pour and I mean really pour the rubbing alcohol on to the carpet and completely soak the stain. Then fold up a few paper towels and put directly on the stain. Find some books that are really heavy...like phone books or anything that will cover the stain and let it sit for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, replace the paper towels and do again. Keep doing this until no more stain comes out on to the paper towels. This works, but does take some time. By the way, rubbing alcohol will never hurt the carpet.

Q: My roommate and I were cleaning carpets in our 1st floor apartment yesterday with a carpet spray called RESOLVE. We bought it at Target and tied it on the carpets but it didn't work well. Then my roommate tried to clean the carpet by water. He dumped the bucket of water and tried to dry it with a sponge. Obviously, it didn't work and the carpet is still wet. We were going to call a cleaning company but we are still trying to figure out how to dry them by ourselves. How bad is that if we just leave it and wait until the carpets dry? If you want to clean the carpet rent a steam cleaner.

Carefully measure out the holes and whatnot of the box. After you have everything cut out use staples (your choice, just using an example) to get the carpet on the box. Try oriental rugs or persian rugs. Very costly. Can set you back a couple grand but will increase in value over time. you need to look behind the rug for the quality. You are looking for handstitched and lots of detail, etc. The most important characteristic for me is durability and washability. Some you can put into the washer, others need special cleaners, some are spot clean only. The second characteristic important to me is texture. I like plush soft carpets that you can walk on with your bare feet. Of course, color choice and design are important. (floral? transitional? contemporary?) I like transitional. I'm a fan of Mohawk and Shaw area rugs. You can find them at Home Depot. Reasonable prices for machine made rugs.
