Q: Hi everyone. I have a problem with my carpets. I recently bought a very nice, thin carpet. It is very detailed, thus it doesn't stay quot;flatquot;. It likes to move around and bulge. I have placed this carpet on another thick carpet. Now I need ideas to keep or stick my thin carpet on top of the thick one without damaging both of them. I dont want to glue or nail stuff done. Something quick and simple. Thanks everyone.: It likes to move around and bulge What you need is a carpet/rug non-slip gripper pad. You can find these in most department stores and Home Depot and Lowe's. It is a netting material you lay down under the rug. It will stop the rug from slipping. It comes in different sizes that can be trimmed to fit.

Q: Installer told me floors need conditioning and rugs may leave marks due to the sun.: Like the others said the wood may color naturally around the rugs due to the sun, but another HUGE concern is the rubber backing on most rubber backed carpets is that they can react with the finish on the wood and ruin the wood. The use of special matts under the rug can be used to prevent this. There are a couple types of these thin anti slip rug matts . You must get the one made for wood flooring. Overall on a medium priced and grade product in each line, carpet generally runs cheap , along with the installation is usually cheaper. Of coarse you can buy a cheap and more expensive product to say I m wrong but on a low medium or high priced item from each , again comparing each , carpet generally is cheaper.
