Q: I recently purchased a new power cable for my HP laptop (v6000 series) due to the disappearance of my old one. When I first plugged in the laptop, I noticed that it did not charge. I thought this might just be due to the fact that the battery has been dead for an extensive amount of time, but after leaving the computer plugged in over night, nothing has changed.What can I do to make my laptop's battery charge?Do I need to have a more powerful power cable?Thank you all for your help.: I also have issue with laptop. Q: The power cord will not be inside the wall, it will be through a sheet of drywall then in a closet that is under my stairs, at no time will the power cord be inside of a wall. It will just be behind the wall and in a closet where I will plug it into a surge protector. good to go??: I think some clarification is needed here. A contractor could NOT do this for you, because it is against NEC code (although some do anyway). You as a home owner, working on your own home, are not bound by these laws (in most areas - I here Chicago is tough). So the question becomes: Is this safe. With what you described, I see no danger in doing what you want to do. The issue of insurance is a point. If you use some cheap surge protector that happens to burst into flames and starts a fire. And an inspector for the insurance company comes out and sees the power cord, they could try to deny your claim based on that. Even though 'that' was not responsible for the fire. Your call.

Q: I'm gonna be running a 2,700watts RMS system on a Power Acoustik 4,500watt Class D Monoblock amp at 1-ohm. I have a 2005 Impala LS do I'm going to need a secondary battery. What size should it be? You can also buy adapters that plug into your hard drive power supply connectors and then your SATA drives. But you could also buy a new power supply that has multiple SATA power connectors

Q: The other day I found an imac g5 17computer in my alley. It probably doesn't work but I was just curious about what cables/accessories I need for it. All that was out there was the actual monitor/desktop. There were no cables with it. (By the way if you can't tell I am not experienced with computers)Thanks any info is appreciated!: Power cable, USB keyboard, USB mouse. That's it. Find a power cable (any old computer power cable will work) and see if it even powers on and does anything first. Crack it open. Set it on its face, then undo the three screws across the bottom. They do NOT come out. They only loosen up until you can't turn them anymore. The back pops off. Look for any swollen or leaking capacitors. If you find any, then it's junk. If you don't, then see if there's any RAM in it. If not, toss some PC3200 DDR RAM in there and see if you get anything.

I think you should look for another one with a friend that maybe has a broken xbox or an old pc.. You might find the piece you're looking for on another machine like a computer or a printer . Q: Its a Extreme power plus 700w the U.S.A and Canadian type.: It depends on where you will be using it. The adapters' female end will accept U.S. power cords. However, the male end will not be usable in U.S. electrical receptacles. If you are planning to travel to Australia or live there, then you are golden. However, if you live in the United Stated, then it is useless without an additional adapter. I am Comp TIA and A+ certified with 27 years experience.

Q: i have a 01 grand prix gt and i want to run the power cable to an amp , anyone know a good spot to run it?: I recommend running it on the same side as your battery. That way you won't have to cross all the way to the other side of the car. Also, it reduces the length required for the wire. If there is somewhere that you can life up (like a panel you can pull up on the bottom of your car, where the doors are), you can potentially hide the wire under that and run it also.

Q: I have a Raidmax 730w power supply, and its modular. there is only one plug in for a 6 pin, and the cable has 2 different 6 pins on the same cable. Will this cable be able to run 2 different video cards running XFire? or will is also be able to run say a 6870 that requires 2 6 pin connectors?: You should be able to feed two cards that each require 1 6/8 pin PCI-E power source... or 1 card that requires 2 6/8 pin PCI-E power source. A cable with 6 pin provides 75W power to the card. With the 75W available on the PCI-E x16 slot, that would be a 150W supply. 2 6 pins will up the available wattage to 225W. Cards that require a 6 pin and 8 pin are 300W cards. Your cable/PSU port is designed to provide any of those combinations of power to the videos card(s).

Q: My Xbox 360's power supply cord is very loosely connected. I've tried to push it with force, didn't go further. Games lag a bit (GTA IV, for example) at graphically expensive situations. Simplier games like Limbo and Worms run without any problems. Not yellow, not red - orange.: It's not possible to drop voltage as you said. It's either connected, or it's not. The power won't wain. It just won't work at all if not properly inserted. But if the power cord won't seat properly in a brand new console, you're still under warranty. I'd get it replaced if I were you..
