Q: Hi well I'm wondering if I can by those 8 pin 6 pin power cords what goes in to your graphics card to plug in to a power socket on the wall. Because I only have 500 wats and at the moment I have the 4850 and already I'm thinking about getting the GTx 295 or something can't remember. But it needs more then 500 wats lmao.I don't wont to upgrade my PSU so will I be able to plug the GTx in to the the wall like as a sprite power cable what goes in to the AC power cable in the wall?BTW I live in Australia so could could you tell me where you are like USA London ect just in case Australia doesn't have it. =)And where can I buy this transfer as well.
pair it with some external 4 pin converters but i would recomend just buying a proper psu
Q: Does the nvidia GT 520 require any power supply cables to be attached to it or do only the mid/higher end cards like HD 6870 require psu cables to be attached? Thanks
for low end cards, you dont need an additional 6 pin or 8 pin power cable for it. It is only for mid range and high range cards that need additional cable for it. For GT 520, you don't need it.
Q: Doesn't have to be super powerful, just lifting about 100 pounds, frequently. I've already looked at the normal places, and they are all DC powered (car battery). I suppose it could also be manual.
With no offense to answer 1, but in agreement with answer 2, ONLY through experience with both big LOT outlets; I'd probably try Northern first. In fact I just had a discussion with someone yesterday comparing the two; but again; it's personal preference. It's likely they get their inventory from the same distributors. For 100 pounds, and if geared at all, manual could be fine. One issue might be your intended use; portability; possible access OR NOT, to a power source; etc.
Q: I have a monitor which has a input rating of 100-240V and a 1.5A current. But I have a cable which gives out 250V and a 10A current.... The cable plugs into my monitor with no problem and it turns on just fine. But is it fine?
Yes its fine. Your monitor draws maximum of 1.5A current. And you say your cable can bear 10A current.
Q: Hi, Whether it will causes any problem the power and speaker in a same path? I dont have a separate path for speakers to mount it in wall. I plan to use the existing path which is used for other electrical items. If i use the same path for electrical wire and speaker wire, it will damage the speaker or will make any short circuit in the electrical line?Thank you.
It should be fine as long as you do not tie wrap the speaker wire directly to the power wiring. Speaker wiring is pretty immune to interference except for in extreme cases. Just run it as far from the power as you can.
Q: Basically i want to add another ssd using a power splitter cable, however i was wondering if you could use the power splitter cable with the optical drive instead of with the current hard drive, (im asking this as there's no room to place the ssd drive close to the hard drive)Thanks
Yes it will work just fine.
Q: I was just wondering that if, for example, you are running too small of a power cable to you subwoofer amplifier does it not get to its full potential? And, if you get the right size will it be louder? Your thoughts and recommendations would be appreciated.
Your subwoofer amp requires a given amount of power to run. Provided it is getting that amount of power, and provided it is free of ungrounded interference, it will produce as clean as sound as possible. A bigger power cord wont produce more power in itself, it would simply offer less resistance. And in this case, you wouldn't be gaining anything. Bigger cables only affect applications where you are delivering signal. Again, less resistance allows more of the signal to get through, offering (perhaps) better sound quality. Even in this case, it wouldn't have any affect on volume.
Q: It isn't the standard power cable, it ALMOST looks like a power cable for a playstation, except it has round on both sides and not just one...Can I JUST buy the plug for it? I lost it when we moved and I need it to make Xmas Cards HAHA
Check okorder they may have part and express shipping Merry Christmas
Q: I currently have a vibe amp wired in that my front speakers run off, im thinking about gettin an Edge sub with a built in amp so was wandering if id have to wire in a new power lead or if i could run them both of the one thats already running to the battery? Also how would i get rca cables running to each if i only have one output on my stereo? Thanks
yes i used the same power wire and just split all my wires for my second amp and everything is fine but i made a new ground for it. it will work fine but make sure you have a good battery or its gonna die, i made sure i got a life time warrenty so i can just take them back and get a brand new one whenever it dies.
Q: hello guys, how does a power boost cable works?what is the difference between a usb cable and power boost cable.
It is simply a 2nd USB for power alone, it does not use both USBs to transfer files, just one, the 2nd is just for additional power to improve the performance of the hard disk
