Q: A hydraulic machine that can raise a car weighing 50,000 N and rests on a piston with a cross-sectional area of 2m^2, what force must be applied to the smaller piston that has an area of 0.5m2, in order to lift the car? I don‘t understand how to do this problem, please explain.
Do you have the nut off were the arm is on the splines? It is splined and hard to get them off,you may need to pry it off as they are tight to the splines.
Q: Can they stop the car from running?
A manual choke cable is to limit the fuel air mixture by letting less air in the Carb. Makes it easier to start especially firming the cold mornings. If you live in a warmer climate you might beable to not use a choke. If your cable is broke the choke could stay close. That would make it not stay running.
Q: What turns girls on more Lifted trucks or hot sports cars?
From personal experience, I'd say it's my red sports car.
Q: I have a 90 lumina 3.1 with 153000 miles. I have been experiencing a very rough ride and thumping sounds from the rear of my carit seems as if I turn a corner and the opposite side of my car of the way I‘m turning lifts off the ground and comes back downthe back of the car doesn‘t bounce when bounced on.it just sits there.is this bad struts? Also, I‘d like to get my tranny fluid changedI have torque converter shudder and no other problemsthe fluid is pink and hasn‘t been changed in about 80000 miles.I worry about changing the fluid as a preventative measure and having my tranny act up afterwards.
The suspension problem is two fold. Firt that knocking and the car lifting off the ground is your CV (Constant Velocity) joint which is the driveline that transferrs power from the engine to the transmission. It's very rare for a tourge converter to shudder. Most likely it's your CV joint causing the shudder. Struts are on the front and shocks are on the back. With your cars milage I would replace them all. I would not worry about changing the transmisssion fluid just you. After replacing the CV joint you will know for sure if you have a bad tourque converter. Most likelu the shudder problem will be solved by the CV joint then you can change the transmission fluid and don't forget the filter change.
Q: I came across this -- something about an SUV from Guizhou:贵州越野车顶债主高速狂飙30公里时速140码My question is, what does 顶 and 140码 mean here? Thank you, if you can help me.
I had read this news in Chinese some days ago. 顶 means lift, jack up 140码 means 140 yards( the speed) A car lifts or jack up a people(the creditor) and run 30 kilometers with 140 yards. It's so difficult for me to translate this. I am a Chinese, and also a English beginner.
Q: How do spoilers on sports cars help reduce lift?
They produce downforce in the same way that 'plane wings produce lift - just in reverse. The shape of the spoiler causes the airflow to be faster on the top than on the bottom, thus causing downforce.
Q: Hoist wire rope broken car will not fall?
Two pillars of the single cylinder will fall, the two pillars of the cylinder will not fall, but will not tilt will slowly fall down
Q: I know some cars have specific places to lift from, where should I lift it from?
Normally there are jack points located just behind the front wheels and just forward of the rear wheels. You should be able to feel a couple of small detents in those four locations. If you have an owner's manual it will show you clearly where the jack points are located on your car.
Q: In the following situations, how do you determine whether work is being done or not?1. a crane lifting a car2. a tug of war that is evenly matched3. a train engine pulling a loaded boxcar initially at rest
work done force x distance (in the same direction as the force) Therefore in case 1, work is being done as the upward force applied on the car by the crane and the direction the car moves is the same. In case 3, work is also being done as the force and direction the load moves are the same In case 2 no work is being done as the tug of war is evenly matched therefore you can assume that the distance moved is zero so there must be no work done
