I got a recipe off of the net this morningCan't remember what site I got it off of and only jotted down basic info (loosen breast skin rub under skin with butter, salt and pepper skin, then bake at 475 for 20 mins then lower temp to 250 and bake an additional 20 mins/lb in a covered roaster (covered the whole time).1I don't have a covered roasting pan so I put it in a pan and covered it with aluminum foil.will this make a difference?2I'm afraid at the end it won't be crisp brown skin because it's been covered the whole time.will the skin brown and crisp? If no, what can I do to make it that way without drying the bird out?Sorry, I'm a turkey idiot :).Thanks in advance.
No problem with the foil.just uncover the last 1/2 hour or so and baste with the juices every 15 mins or so until brown.
I'am a painter and decorator recently set up my own small company, a local cafe wants the place done and he wants wallpaper over aluminium wallsi know you can get liquid paper you can apply however he doesn't want it painted, he wants a patterni was thinking if i treated the metal by sanding it an sugar soaping it down really well then use a adhesive as a key an maybe mix in some glue it would be fine, but it is a steamy hot environmentAny advice or tips to or specific product i should use would be much appreciatedthank you
Since it's a steamy hot environment I'd over bid the job and hope someone else takes itThe reason I say this is Aluminum expands and contracts to much to hold wall paper and we all know that steam removes wallpaper.

When do you put the lid on? Or take the lid off of the roasting pan while roasting your turkey?
Never put a lid on a roasted turkey, or it will be steamed turkeyHowever, use an open roasting pan with broiler rackRoast breast down for the first 60-90 minutesThen flip (this is not easy)During the last hour of roasting, you may choose to put loose aluminum foil over the breast to keep it from drying out while the dark meat continues to cook325 degrees (Farenheit) for 15 minutes per poundStuff the bird loosely right before putting it into the oven.
