- Q: i am in the middle of an art project at school and as part of my project i am making some trading cards like things for a presentation and i would like to package them like they were the real thingit is some kind of foil but not aluminum or tin foilto thinit is not shrinkwrapi think it is closer to being the type of stuff used to package potato chips and stuff but i do not know what it is called or where to find itgoogle did not really help either.
- Usually someone will help get the wheelchairs down the stairsIt is kind of a bumpy ride but not much of a problemGoing DOWN stairs is not much of a problemFailing that, a couple men can either carry the chair occupant or remove occupant from chair and carry them down seperatelyI can't argue it is a problem.
- Q: My daughter's 1st Birthday Party is Saturday, and this is my first time baking a birthday cakeI won't have a lot of time on the day of the party to bake her cake and 40 cupcakes, so I want to do all of the baking tonight (Thursday) and decorate everything on Saturday morningDo I need to freeze the cake and cupcakes or will 2 nights in the refrigerator be ok? If I do need to freeze them how long will it take for them to defrost before I can ice and decorate them?
- This answer is likely too late for your birthday cake, but as a 6+ year cake decorating instructor, here are my opinions: 1) Don't refrigerate a cake unless there are instructions to do so (recipe) or unless you are using a filling or frosting that must remain chilled (whipped cream, fruit filling, etc.) Unneeded refrigeration can change the texture of your cake and potentially dry it out2) If you need to keep your cake (unfrosted) for several days, it is better to freeze itWrap it well in plastic wrap, then wrap again in aluminum foil or put inside a freezer bagBut I would allow a good 8 for defrosting, so would take it out of the freezer the night before you will be working with it3) If you make a cake one day and will be decorating it within the next day or two, don't bother with refrigeration or freezingJust wrapped well as stated above and keep it at room temperature4) Another option is to crumb coat the cake with a thin layer of frosting, then store it in a cake dome or other covered cake carrier at room temperatureSee first link in Sources5) You could still ice and decorate the cakes/cupcakes while they were still frozen/semi-frozen(In fact, this would make them easier to work with)But make sure you allow enough time for them to defrost completely before serving timeFrozen cake is not very appetizing.you lose the true flavor of the cakeHappy Decorating!
- Q: I applied thinking that when i arrived i would find like-minded young, competitive, patriotic, and hard-working peopleInstead over the past 1.5 years i have witnessed severe egoism, laziness, people seeking every possible excuse to get out of duties, double standards concerning disenrollment (colonel's kid etc.) and a complete mockery of instilling the ideas of teamwork and duty into anyone herei want to know before i commit (similar to contracting) in may whether or not i should leave the Aluminum Womb and serve my country in a less privelaged, but possibly more honorable way?

- Why are you concerned about milk supply in the 1st trimester? Trying to jump start your milk supply during pregnancy is linked to pre-term laborMilk supply is derived from the increase in oxytocin, which is what is given to induce laborWait until you have the baby, or at least until 37 weeks to worry about milk supplyAnd no, it isn't at all safe during the first trimester.
- Q: What's the maximum temperature that high temperature resistant aluminum tape resists?
- Aluminum tape is made by calendering aluminum and thus an oxide of aluminum. The melting point of aluminum is 660.4℃ and its boiling point 2467℃. Aluminum foil can resist high temperature, but it can be oxidated. Aluminum oxide is an white power and belongs to covalent compound with the melting point of 2050℃ and boiling point of 3000℃.
- Q: in making aluminium in a arc furnace why is the arc current DC and not AC?
- Aluminum is not made in an arc furnaceIt is made in a smelterSmelting is a totally different processAn arc furnace is used to make steel by melting scrap, and possibly iron oreThe arc generates heat to melt the materialMost arc furnaces are ACA smelter performs an electrolytic processThis process involves the migration of electrons in the atoms of the material fed into the smelter - heat is a byproduct, but the process is not fundamentally thermalIn order to force migration of electrons, smelters must be DC.

- Q: I have a question that gives me a list of ionization energies then wants me to write the element it belongs toIt hints that it is in the third periodI looked up that it is AluminumIs there a way to tell which one they are, how would it expect me to solve this other than knowing them already?
- you can tell what the ionisation energies are because of the trend across the periodThe first ionisation energy increases as you go across the period, because of increased nuclear charge so it is harder to remove the electronthere are a couple of anomalies such as magnesium having a higher IE than aluminium, but this is because in aluminium an electron is removed from the p-orbital instead which is higher in energy than the s-orbital which magnesiums electrons occupy.
