Q: Can it cause the motorcycle to move erratically or what?
It shouldn't do anything other than raise the engine's revs a bit, make a little noise out the muffler and go vroom!!! It's entirely unnecessary. If you have to do that to keep the engine running, you are out of tune. Fix the problem.
Q: What is the engine brake in the mini-off-road motorcycle?
Engine - Clutch - Transmission - Drive shaft - Rotating gear - Wheels
Q: What was the first mass produced motorcycle with a disc brake?
I believe it was Honda. It was the CB-750 developed in 1966.
Q: I won a Custom Motorcycle that came with no Speedometer, no turn signals, no mirrors, and the front brake does not work the brake light. From what I have read I don‘t need turn signals to pass an inspection if the motorcycle was built without them? But do I need a speedometer, Mirrors, and a front brake light to pass an inspection?
Sounds like a show motorcycle, not built for the street. Pure Butt Jewelry. Equipment is trivial. First thing to do is to find out if the motor is emission legal for the street.
Q: Can we skip the answer that go you never stop learning or after __ years I am still learning. Yes I understand you are always improving, you are always learning and what not but you know what I am asking so can I get real answers here? (not trying to be an as*hole just trying to get answers).I generally pick up on things rather fast, I learned how to drive a stick in a couple hours and by the 2nd day my shifts were smooth. so I learn pretty fast.
I learned how to drive a stick in a couple hours and by the 2nd day my shifts were smooth. so I learn pretty fast. That long? That is not driving though is it? Operating the controls is not riding – a monkey could be trained to operate the controls.
Q: New to motorcycles. I just got a new chopper and need a few things but I need more general information on what they are/what they do. I need brakes but I do not know where to start. There are so many different kinds of brakes out there. I have weld rims, venom tires, an ultima frame and revtech 88 engine. Where should I start looking as far as categories of brakes go? I have no idea where to start!Help!?!?!?
first of all rev tech is made in TAIWAN! next theres all kinds of brakes I would use 4 piston up front and 6 piston in the back, rev tech are actually good brakes I have them on my panhead.performance machine are probably the best but very high priced,Arlen Ness is good but agin high priced. Get a catalog from FOG HOLLOW they have everybodies stuff!
Q: So I‘m thinking of buying this to practice on as I will be a new rider very soon ( and $1000 seems like a really low price for what I‘ve found). It‘s running good and only has 11,000 miles on it. The owner posted that it‘s a 2007 Lifan 250cc. So I tried looking up the specs to get some info on the bike but I couldn‘t seem to find anything So I‘m hoping that one of you guys can help me out and post a link to a website with details on it. Thanks in advance!
It's a Qianjiang motorcycle, made in China. I think $1000 is a bit high for a bike that cost $2000, 7 years ago. I would make a lower offer. Model 250F Lifan Features: ?ENGINE: Air-cooled , V Twin Cylinder, Four Stroke ?Displacement: 248 CC ?TDI Ignition ?Max. Power: 18.5 HP/ 8000 RPM ?Cruise Speed 85 MPH ?Max. Torque : 17.5N.m/6000RPM ?Electric Start ?BRAKE SYSTEM Front: Disk Rear: Drum ?TRANSMISSION: 5-Speed Manual shift ?TIRES Front: 3.0-18 Rear:5.0-15 ?SUSPENSION Front: Hydraulic telescoping forks Rear: Hydraulic Spring ?FUEL: Unleaded gasoline ?Fuel consumption: 100 MPG Max. Load: 330 lb Dry Weight : 355 lb.
Q: The front (disc) brake shoes on my 1983 Yamaha Virago 920 are worn unevenly. One is at 90% the other is at 20%. The fluid seems fine, the brakes work okay. Clue- The rear brakes were worn out when I bought the bike a few months ago.
The others are right. When you remove the caliper before you re install it coat the caliper bolts with anti seize. Not the threaded part just the shaft that passes through the caliper.
