- Q:Okay so I am trying to upgrade my graphics card and In order ti di That I need a new Power Supply Unit. The PSU I was looking at is a 850 watt one and it has six pin connectors. The problem is all my componets are 4 pin connectors. If I get the new power supply can I somehow get a 6 pin connector to fit in a four pin like a adapter or something. BTW in order for the graphics card to function I need a six pin but all my other stuff in 4. So is there a way to work that out
- Not correct, most modern power supplies, especially a 850W one, have the 4 pin Molex power connectors. Also, they do have the 6 pin PCI-E (video) power connectors as well... Don't mix up the PCI-E 6 pin vs the 4 pin Molex power, they are two totally different things...
- Q:Hi,I have this Corsair TX 750W PSU and one of the cable have 3 x4pins connectors on it. i use one of the 4pins connector on this cable to power 6 fans on my case and the other two 4pins connectors i use one to connect to two ssd drives and other connector to the IDE 1.5TB hdd. do you think that this single cable is under stress to power up all 9 items? is there rule about psu cable? i am asking this because i thought maybe the psu is affecting my gtx 670 sli performance. i get P11000 score and X5006 using 3dmark 11. so it is a bit low. i should get arouynd P16000+.i have i7 2600k @ 4.5ghz w HT and pc3200 16GB. i hope someone can point out the low score issue and power supply cable question.. i am currently running drivers 320.49
- i have a similar situation, and i use a separate cable for each (HDD, SSD, GPU, DVD) because i think puting the stress on one cable is NOT right, and if that cable got a short circuit all the hardware dies (fails)

I have no idea how to install this power adapter. It had a connector for the video card, and 2 other connectors opposite. The 2 other connectors only had 3 pins, but fit in the my 4 pins. I've connected one of the pins to my power supply and have no more 4 pins. - In this case, you should have put the batteries in series to get 48 or 96 volts, that makes the cabling easier. Too late now. Yes, at 5kW, that is 5000/12 420 amps I don't know what size wire you are using, and what the distance is, so I can't help further without that information. For example, if you are running 10 feet of cable (20 total) and you want to lose only 5% of the voltage, which is 0.6 volts, then the resistance of the wire needs to be less than 0.6/420 1.4 mΩ. That is, over 20 feet, 71 mΩ per 1000 feet, which is 000 AWG wire. Mush more than 10 feet, and you need to use MCM wire. .

- If the electronics work, then it's not the battery, Hooking up the power wire the ground does nothing, there isn't a circuit to complete, without power. Even the remote turn wire, having power, would either put the amp into protection, or pop the fuses...Does it try to turn over? or if not, does it have a starter solenoid?

- i'm sorry, yet it rather is an somewhat unusual question. Why could it no longer be secure to plug something right into a surge protector? Are there contraptions obtainable for which an electric powered surge is a good factor? No, i easily do no longer think of so. unusual.
