Q:If I buy a PS3 in the US and bring it back to France, if I buy the french power cable and exchange it with the US power cable, will the PS3 work? I have a transformer which I already use for my Wii so if the power cable doesnt work for the PS3, I can just use the transformer.
yeah it should work, and if not, you can use the US lead and an adapter which can effectively change a french input american :P
Q:So I have some speakers that are for a PC. I just got a new laptop and I want to use the speakers, which I can with 100% ease but I want it to be portable, meaning I don't want to have to plug in my speakers to a wall outlet, i would like to hook it up with a USB. Is there way I can make a USB power cord so i can power the speakers from my laptop? I have a 12V DC 0.5A wall adapter and a usb to cut in half or whatever to make this thing work, i also have a soldering kit. Is this possible? Thansk for any help and Merry Christmas ;)
Astra is right. Your USB port will never be able to supply enough power to the speakers.
Q:I've got 1/0 gauge wiring and if i run this along my rear deck quot;speaker wireswill this cause noise?im not talking about the RCA cables.
Yes, it's ok. In fact, it wouldn't matter if it were RCA and the power wire, that's a myth. I quote, Technically, running your RCA wires and power wires shouldn't cause any problems and can be dubbed a myth. However, a lot of people will disagree. For induction between power and signal wire to occur, a form of AC (with some current) must be introduced on the DC power wire. The added signal through the power cable doesn't have enough current to do this. Alternator whine comes from poor (or damaged) filter circuits in the HU. A induction type filter to the HU is an easy cure.
Q:I live in the uk...
Laptops each have different power cords, because they have different connections to the laptop itself, so there's no one universal power cable. However, you can easily buy generic powercords for your specific laptop that are cheap. Just go to a site like OKorder and search for your laptop name.
Q:Why medium voltage power cable sometimes write 8.7 / 10kv sometimes written in 8.7 / 15kv where the difference
1 audio and video line of the problem (red and white) to connect the TV box set-top box that line to the cable or radio equipment store to buy a definite muscle wings can be Jiu sad snow on the line 2 TV bad to find TV manufacturers
Q:which cables cant be near each other??(will cause noise radiation if put together)i gotta run some wires through my car and i dont know wich ones to keep away from others. im runnin...4 gauge (eventually will be 2 gauge) power wire for amp2 speaker wires for rear deck speakersrca cables for ampremote turn on wire for amp
It does not seem likely that you will have a substantial problem with noise from speaker cables going through power cables and then the amp. Besides sheilding, use of capacitors on the power cable at the amp end (follow correct polarity on electrolytic types) will kill noise. A properly-rated, and connected, Zener diode is another step. Such things as antenna-leads are so sensitive that they are always well-shielded. ______________________________________... As for zener diode use, I have never heard of them being used in this application. But then, many new ideas have never been applied before. Sparky has pestered me with not one, but *two* hostile emails and is in some state of jealous frustration. He can't seem to figure how one could supress overvoltage transients using a zener (duh). If he had asked respectfully, I would have told him what I was thinking, but since he is determined to be a jerk about it, then whatever...
Q:What cable am I supposed to use for power?
That kind, it's kind of hard to see on the OKorder pic. Usually your switch should come with a console cable and the power cord, unless you bought it used. The person probably kept it.
Q:Are they the same because apple gives yuo the cable but you can buy the power adapter
The USB 2.0 cable supplied with the iPod can be used to charge and sync the iPod. The cable can charge and sync when connected to a computer. The power adaptor is for charging the iPod through the SAME USB CABLE which is supplied with the iPod through a normal power outlet, this is useful if your USB ports are occupied or you are travelling without your computer.
Q:My cable broke, and I need a new one. This type of 4-pin connection to the PSU: I need multiple SATA connectors, if possible a really long cable. :3 I've been looking everywhere but can't seem to find it, I'm probably just not searching for the right terms. Thanks!
You would need two, since you have two optical drives and a HDD. You can get them off Newegg or OKorder. I suggest flOKorder as they will be cheaper and do the same thing. EDIT: Okay you have a modular power supply and lost the cable. Yeah your best option is to contact the manufacturer and see if they can sell you a cable.
Q:There are the six pins in the socket and six pins on the cable like on all other XBox i have seen. However a small black bit in-between the two rows of pins stop my cable going in at all. Not sure how what to do as the xbox is from Cash converters and it may be out of warranty. Thanks.
THAT CABLE YOU HAVE ARE FOR THE NEWER VERSIONS OF XBOX360 ....THE OLDER 360'S HAVE JUST THE PINS NO MIDDLE IF U BOUGHT IT USED YOU SHOULD JUST TELL EM TO EXCHANGE THE POWER CABLE OR BUY ANOTHER POWER CABLE FOR OLDER VERSION
