- Q: No water will come out of any faucet in the whole house and I do not know what to do, if I need a whole new pump/tank or what could be causing this please help
- There are several possibilities as to why you have no water pressure. The pump could have lost it's prime, there could be a crack or loose connection between the well pipe and the pump, resulting in pumping air instead of water, the jet in the pump could have been plugged by a flake of rust broken off the inside of the pump housing, or, if you have a fairly old system, like mine, your air volume control, (a little round silver object screwed into the side of the resevoir tank), could be bad. Did this just happen all of a sudden, are you trying to open up a cottage for the summer that's been shut down all winter, was it pumping recently??? More info would be helpful.
- Q: I've got a 1997 Ford Probe, taken it to a couple different places; whenever I drive my vehicle, it tends to want to overheat. I don't drive it to the point where it does though, I know that could cause more damage! I've noticed that when I go out to my car in the morning, there's some coolant on the ground by the front passenger's tire. Before I drive it I fill it with coolant, as to try to keep it from overheating while driving.I've been told that it's the water pump leaking from 2 people but then the last person said there's no leakage. I'm wondering if it might be something else? Maybe a thermostat, a hose, maybe? How would I figure this out???
- Sounds like it's probably the water pump to me too. It's easy to tell though, just get it on a lift and take a look at the water pump. If it's leaking out of the weeping hole, it's toast. Don't power wash an engine unless you want to risk very expensive repairs from water being forced into places it's not supposed to be. Odds of the pump locking up and leaving you stranded before those bearings get VERY upset, start screaming and dumping fluid like there's a hole in the system is a hundred to one. You should be able to limp it to a shop just fine when it gets worse. Just be careful not to overheat and you'll be fine. (I did say 1 in a hundred, you're not super unlucky, are you?)
- Q: What's the difference between a cold water pump and a hot water pump?
- Water seal and sealing quality is different?
- Q: What is a variable frequency water pump? What's the difference between a variable frequency pump and an ordinary pump?
- In fact, the key to this problem is to figure out what is frequency conversion, why frequency conversion, know this problem, we can easily understand the difference between frequency converter pump and ordinary water pump.We often say that the frequency is a frequency conversion process of the motor, the frequency of the motor to change the motor speed, so as to achieve the water pump flow head technology parameters are adjusted to control the role of.Variable frequency water pump refers to the motor, variable frequency pump should be driven by variable frequency motor pumpFrequency conversion, that is, adjustable frequency, frequency conversion motor is able to adjust the speed, adjust the flow, to achieve the purpose of energy saving, but also start small current, maintenance advantages of small workload.Ordinary water pump is to use ordinary motors to drive water pump rotation, that is called the power frequency motor. Our daily use frequency 50Hz, can not speed. Water pump adjustment flow through the valve throttling to achieve the same, so it is not energy-saving. The fear of harm in Wei Di apps
- Q: When using a frequency converter to adjust the pump, what is the relationship between the change of the speed and the efficiency of the pump?
- When you buy the pump, you can ask the manufacturer to give you an FM curve so that you can see the change in the efficiency of the pump as the frequency is adjustedSend you a document in the hope that I can help you
- Q: There are heard buzzing, but can not move and no death card, is not a bad capacitor, how much is the direct standard capacitance it?
- The motor is sure of electricity, isn't it? Is there a low voltage or broken phase (three-phase motor), these cases will cause the motor does not turn, or low speed (easy to block), so should be measured with a universal meter. Maybe the boot capacitor is broken. Or smell the smell of burning. It might be a short circuit between the motor windings. (bearings should be hard to break). Look for repairs if you suggest. You may not be good. Oh, capacitor. You can measure good and bad with a universal watch. If the capacitor is replaced, it is better to choose the same capacitor as the original configuration parameter.
- Q: can you replace a water pump gasket without replacing the whole water pump?
- Of course you can they are two seperate items. Obviously you have to remove the pump to remove the gasket. Just make sure that the pump is in good condition, and use a little gasket silicone on the gasket. Dont overdo it with the silicone, just a thin smear on each side. Also make sure all traces of the old gasket are carefully removed from the pump and the block face. Any dirt or old gasket remnants left will cause a leak, so double check before replacing the pump to its position. Cheers
- Q: can this happen that pump is pressurizing system and no flow in suction.
- the answer is YES..but NOT from the PUMP..the type of pump most people have requires that flow through the impeller be available at all times or two things will happen !. it will cavitate (that's a gurgling sound at the pump) or 2. It will only beat the water that is in the pump and no flow will be apparent. Either one of these though could be a symptom of a plugged hot water line in the loop. Here is what happens to increase the pressure apparent.. The water on the loop is pressurized from the storage tank to the pump then out to the loop .If the loop is terminated and air gets into the end of the line next to the restriction the outside water pressure is acting like a piston compressing the air that air reacts the same as it would in any compressor and can reach higher than normal operating conditions. If you will find the plug and install an expansion bladder in the highest part of your line your flow ,pressure and noise problems will stop...Good luck with the search...From the E
- Q: In the past 9 months, Ive went through 6 or 7 gallons of antifreeze, I was told this was not normal. Ive had my coolant tank flushed 4 times this year, only to be told thats not normal and one lasts a few years. Now that its colder outside my car takes a while to run hot of course, but during the summer it ran hot in about 15 minutes tops. I got a brand new coolant tank before I got another flush because I did have a leak, but that did not combat the problem. I had my radiator looked at and I was told thats fine. So im thinking either a cracked head gasket or a bad water pump...help please. im getting tired of putting money into this car only for the same stuff to keep happening.
- if it is a head gasket your oil will have water in it, my guess is a water pump or hoses, check the oil first to see if there is water, then have the water pump checked, then hoses, process of elimination works the best 99% of the time
- Q: I have a 2002 Honda Civic Ex sedan with about 105k miles. Sometime before 110k I need to get the timing belt replaced. At about 95k my mechanic asked if I wanted to replace the timing belt and the water pump. According to the owners manual the timing belt must be replaced, but it simply says check the water pump.I don't want to pay for unnecessary repairs, but I also know that both of these jobs are quite involved, but can be done together fairly easily. Is there anything I can do to check myself or do I just have to trust my mechanic when I take it in. Also, what is the cost difference between the timing belt job and adding in the water pump at the same time?
- just me 1 water pumps last 150k and 15 yrs usually 2 change belt sooner than later 3 if you r keeping car 5 yrs more change wp too 4 its a as long as its apart do it saving future labor
