Q: I desperately need to fix my oak floors.
If you are confident enough to do this yourself, you'll have to start by renting a floor sander. Get the kind with 4 smaller cricular pads... DON'T get a drum sander. They are difficult to use and can realy mess up a floor if used incorrectly. The type w 4 pads usually has a dust collention system attached (very convenient). After sanding the finish is up to your preference as to color. Make sure to end w a floor grade polyeurethane (get one made for gyms floors).
Q: Sawing the floor with a broom will not damage the floor
Wood floor is very wearable, not so delicate! Do not worry
Q: need help,i want a black and white room,i want black flooring,(modern)what can i use?
The Colour Flooring Company does a completely black (no marbling or patterns) sheet vinyl floor with a 10 year guarantee.
Q: Flooring this piece of general to buy what need to pay attention to what the general kick line to send it? ,
Buy the floor to pay attention to: brand influence, product quality, price, color, accessories, installation, after-sales processing. Do not send the baseboard depends on the seller's model, and some stores are sent with the free, in fact, are the same, free to the price will be counted in the floor, free of charge, Is not there. The baseboard has a few dollars a meter, there are dozens of meters, to see what you choose, but the general function of the baseboard is to prevent the mopping the wall dirty, so there is no need to buy too good, the general polymer kick Foot line is enough.
Q: Which would benefit you the most while doing dumbbell chest presses? laying on the floor and doing the chest press or using a bench to do the dumbbell chest press.
floor presses isolate the inner pectoral and shoulder and uses include toning. bench presses (more common) allow the entire pectoral to strengthen with more travel for your arms to go. Incidently floor presses are not advised as practical for minor fibromayalgia occurances.
Q: I have sub-floors in my condo and want to put in a hardwood floor and replace the interior doors. Should I install the new doors first before the new floor, or, the floors first then the doors? Thanks, M
Instal the hard wood floors first so you know you will have enough room at the bottom of the door to accomidate. Otherwise you may instal the doors first and find you either have too little space or too much space for the floors, in which case you will be taking the doors out to re hang them anyway. Why do double work ? Good luck .
Q: i want to replace the old carpet to laminate flooring. can anyone provide me with a step by step guide on how to do this? i have also purchased some underlayment for laminate flooring to go along with the flooring.
Installing laminate is pretty easy in most cases. Remove all base boards. Make sure the floor is clean. Role out your sound bearrier. Tape the seams using a wide masking tape. You'll need a laminate wood block to connect you laminate together. Your peices that end up next to the wall will have to be a little short to fit in place. In door ways lay a scrap piece upside down and take a saw and cut out door jams to your laminate fits under door jams. Hope this helps some. I've installed for years.
Q: What brands of laminate flooring in the market is durable and good with competitive pricing?
I think they are called Armstrong. Really good quality, SOOO easy to put in, and lots of choices for colors/textures.
Q: Would you go with a company that is less well known just because it does not offer floor time or do you think that having floor time is important to build your business?
Floor time doesn’t do a thing for you and your business – it just saves the company from paying an actual receptionist. If anything, floor time is bad for you. It takes away time that you could be using to prospect for your own business. I won’t say never, but rarely would someone call your office just looking for a random agent to work with so don’t think of phone time as a way to get clients.
Q: What is the best type of bambo flooring ?
The company is local to where I live, so I don't know it's availabilty if you live outside the Bay Area. If you are going the DIY route I STRONGLY recommend getting the floating/click installation versus the glue down/nail down product. The floating stuff does cost more (for example, usually starts at about a $1 more a sqaure foot), but renting nailing equipment and buying adhesive is also expensive. We spent about $300 on flooring glue (Bostik's Best) for a 210 sq. foot room. In comparison, foam padding and plastic sheeting for a floating floor of the same size would be around $70. The floating (engineered) pieces are also about 3X the size of the hardwood planks, so that really works out to be about half the time cutting and laying the product. If you are putting bamboo in the kitchen area, you may want to consider a laminate that has a bamboo pattern due to water damage potential. I don't think hardwood is really recommended in the kitchen/bathroom areas. If you are looking for a sustainable option for the kitchen, Forbo Marmoleum(natural linoluem, versus the vinyl sheeting that most homes have) is plant based and carries something like a 40 year warranty. The prices tend to be $4-$6 a square foot, so comparable to bamboo . I recently saw that Armstrong carries a natural linoleum product that I think is suitable for kitchens. I think their website says that is available at Home Depot and Lowe's, among other places.
