Q: Hi, I might be installing a floating floor that uses plastic connectors to join each plank. They lock together great, however I can still feel the separation between each plank. Can I add clear lacquer to the floor after it is completely installed to give it a uniform feel?
I would not recommend doing so as it would automatically void the given warranty of your floors. I am assuming these are laminate floors? Some factors you may also want to consider is that it could be the floors are designed to be beveled. You might also want to check your subfloor for any unevenness.
Q: I want to decorate my house! But I do not know what kind of material on the wall and the floor. Color is also do not know how to start with! Hope to have such a master to help! More
Brown floor, beige or creamy wall with such a nice look, and warm
Q: if a vinyl floor was installed in the 1970's, would this flooring have any asbestos in it.
have it tested. that is the only way to know for sure.
Q: What is the ceiling effect of the ceiling
The ceiling effect is also known as the high limit effect: when the task is required to complete the task is too easy, all the different levels (quantity) of the independent variables have achieved very good results, and there is no difference between the situation, we said that the experiment appeared high Limit effect. [Example 1] The teacher in order to test the level of student learning, and out of a paper, if the paper is too simple, the result is generally achieved a high score students. And thus can not be tested from the scores of students learning level. Then this phenomenon is called "ceiling effect". So how to avoid it? The usual method is to try to avoid the extreme reaction by experimenting with the experiment, and then try to examine their response to the task by testing a small number of pre-subjects. If the reaction of the test is close to the top or bottom of the target range, the experimental task needs to be corrected.
Q: Will you, home improvement shop floor is not the last time, shop floor, what else to do it? Thank you!
No, the last process is to install the skirting board, after the shop also waxing
Q: Help? I have just moved into a realtivly new 4 bed house @ 9 years old. The main bedroom floor is very very creaky more so than i remember when we went to view. The main bedroom is the worst. My best guss is there is about 5mm gap between the tongue and grove floor boards and the joists in this room.My sons bedrooms are ok. Is there any fix for this? I was told cutting the floor up was an option but seems a bit extreme .Any advice most welcome... Many Thanks
If that's a carpeted room one concern you're able to do is take the carpet up, and run timber screws in the process the floor, the sub floor and into the floor joists. in case you're going with that approach you will desire to coat the screws in timber glue, or another adhesive to maintain them from chickening out via the years below the carpet. If that's a timber floor, you could pull up the floor to divulge the sub floor, do incredibly the comparable concern, and then use stuff referred to as leveling compound over the suitable of the sub floor. as quickly as this is dry, re-lay your timber flooring. If neither of those strategies sound good, and the joists are uncovered on the backside, you ought to use screws up from the joists at an perspective to tighten the hollow between the joists and the sub floor, only confirm that your screws do now not bypass extra effective than a million/2 and inch vertically into the subfloor. additionally, toughen the joists to confirm that the joints aern't squeeking. For toung and groove timber flooring from time to time the floor settles and varieties a niche between the floor and the sub floor. in case you at the instant are not prepared to take in the floor to repair the squeek, you could drill tiny holes interior the flooring, and then inject self leveling compound or timber filler underneith the floor boards. individually i've got in no way finished that one and don't comprehend each and every of the puzzling info of it, yet i've got viewed the place that's been finished and that's incredibly efficient. the perfect thank you to comprehend in case you have a seperation of the floor and subfloor is to roll a golfing ball around the floor. whilst it is going from a typical golfing ball rolling sound to form of a hollow sound, you comprehend the place your voids are. (and the professionals incredibly use that too... I laughed incredibly lots whilst a golfing ball grew to become right into a gadget of the commerce.)
Q: The bathroom is about 6inches off from one end of the floor to the other. And that is a 4ft span. The tub is at the level end which is the lowest part of the floor. We want to leave the tub and build up the floor around it. What is the best and fastest way to do that ourselves? Our kitchen is also unlevel. The floor slants to one corner. It may be about 3 inches off level. We need to level out both floors, but have no idea how.
Unlevel Floors
Q: Does anyone have any ideas or a process they use to clean their laminate floor so it looks good?
I have found that just a good old 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water does a fine job. The cleaning mixes that are sold look nice until you walk on them, and then you see scuff marks like crazy. The vinegar solution does not make scuff marks and is a good cleaner, applied with a sponge mop. Just spray it on as you go.
Q: ok i have a cement floor in my room cuz im in the basement. i really dont want it so what can i put there? i was thinking carpet but it sounds way to hard to put carpet on cement. in my top floor theres this stuff my ma put where it looks like hardwood but it is plastic and its just like double sided tape on it. should i do this?
it's really not hard to put carpet onto cement, most council houses have cement bottom floors.
Q: for both ceiling and floor functions, how do you evaluate each for different values of x?also, is there a relationship between them?
ceiling: Round up to nearest integer floor: Round down to nearest integer floor or ceiling of an integer simply gives the same integer you started out with. Examples: floor(4.5) = 4 ceil(4.5) = 5 floor(4) = 4 ceil(4) = 4 floor(4.1) = floor(4.9) = 4 ceil(4.1) = ceil(4.9) = 5 floor(x) <= ceil(x) where <= means less than or equal to For integers n, m with m 0: ceil(n/m) = floor((n+m-1)/m)
