Q: What is the meaning of the floor price of the stock?
The floor is the room almost the lowest place, the floor price is almost the lowest price!
Q: I desperately need to fix my oak floors.
You also may have to trim down the doors a bit if you raise the level of the floor too much.) Your oak floor actually looks great and just needs to be refinished. The wood looks nice and tight (no gaps or visible defects) and has a nice grain pattern. Have you considered just refinishing the floor? It would involve sanding the floor down to bare wood and applying a new finish. I would cost next to nothing compared to installing a new cherry floor (though I also really like the look of the brazilian cherry; for some reason the HGTV link you posted didn't work, I just did a search for Brazilian Cherry on HGTV and found the Classic Tuscan Kitchen episode). Sanding a floor is messy work and can be a bit tricky if you use a drum sander. A drum sander can oversand a floor quite quickly but works great in the hands of a pro. You also need to cover everything as wood dust will get everywhere. There are other types of sanders you can rent (I've used a 4 disc sander to refinish a floor) that are not as aggressive as a drum sander but they do take longer to sand. Even hiring a pro to sand and refinish the floor would most likely be much less expensive than buying new wood. But if you have the coin and are set on switching to cherry you can certainly install a new floor over the old floor provided the old floor is in sound condition (not loose and warped).
Q: I take care of my mom and she was very sick and had a horrible accident all over the floor in her room, I think that the flooring is Pergo. I want to steam clean to disinfect. I dont want to use harsh chemicals.
i use pergo floor spray and use a dry mop to mop it up. just spray it all over the floor first. no need to rinse. you can get it at home depot. no film. my sister uses the Swiffer Wet Jet. It is amazing! Do not use the liquid for hardwood floors, it will leave a film. Just use the liquid for regular floors, tile, etc. It really is amazing. I have Pergo and was so surprised when I tried the Wet Jet. It dries within 15 mins or so and leaves it shinny
Q: right now we have a concrete painted floor in our basement and i hate it, the paint always chips. does anyone know what we can do with the floor?
Use an Epoxy floor paint. We just finished turning the basement into a entertainment area. The cement floor had been painted with a brown paint and it was faded and peeling. I went to my local hardware store and bought two gallons of jade green epoxy paint and the floor look unreal. Everybody that comes over for movies in surround sound asks how we made the floor look so good. You can take the paint and have it mixed to any color you choose. I would pick up a paint chip booklet from the local paint store and bring it home and see which colors look the best in your basement. Then have the colored mixed and remove everything from your floor and roll on your paint. Our floor looks like a very expensive floor because the color is so surreal, If you like jade try that color or just pick out your favorite color. This paint covers everything and last forever. We have a really cool place to just hang out now. You can make your floor look new with one coat.
Q: Chinese hospitals only have 4 floors ' was a fact of the day at school. Why can't they have any more floors??!
Not a FACT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!! I was just in a Hospital in China.. I was on the 11th floor... Maybe you are thinking they do not have a 4th floor. Since the number 4 is bad luck. You better think twice about that school you are going to. YIKES!!
Q: I live on the second floor and I want replace the carpet with wood or tile. A friend told me if the floor is not leveled, it cost a lot to level it. My question is: Could second floor be unleveled? I thought only first floors could be unleveled.
Second story floors can be and often are out of level. Even more important than levelness, though, is flatness. It is o.k. if your floor slopes a little. If it has dips and humps in it though, these will have to be adressed before new flooring is installed. If you install tile, a cement leveling compound can be used. If wood, the unevenness will need to be fixed structurally. 3/16 difference in a 6' span is the most unevenness allowable. If you have more detailed questions feel free to email.
Q: If not what type of floor is better?
Oh God NO!!!!!!! Don't ever practice on cement. You will destroy your knees , feet and joints. You need a sprung or floating floor to not get injured. The floor needs to have some give. Even a standard hardwood floor in a home will give you tendinitis if danced on for any helpful amount of time. That is why pre-professional dancers take daily classes over practice at home because 1) they don't want to be injured. 2) in class they get corrections from their teacher that they cannot get at home and 3) the cost of putting in a sprung or floating floor in your home is very expensive and you need the ceiling height to do this as well. Much cheaper and better to just add more ballet classes.
Q: We never went trough them but got an assignment that involves it, I'm guessing point of this is to learn to research on your own. And I did but one of the questions is to prove floor(x)+floor(-x). I know it's always -1 unless x =N but how do I prove it?
Remember x can describe as integer part y and decimal part .ddddd or y.dddd the floor of y.dddd and -y.dddddd so floor of (y.dddd) is y (the next smaller number ) the floor of (-y.ddddd) = -y - 1 (the next smaller number) so along as .dddd is not zero . for positive x , floor(y.ddddd) = y for negative x, floor(-y.dddd) = -y - 1 so floor(x) + floor(-x) = y + (-y -1) = -1 However , when x is a whole number you have y + (-y) = 0
Q: 1987 bayliner capri needs a new floor
a whole new floor would ofcourse require you cut out the old one unbolding any hardware or seats that may be attached to it, when cutting it out be sure u are not going to be cutting thru any wires or hoses, you will need a sheet or two of marine plywood as well as a lot of fiberglass mat and resin, you will want to mount some strips of wood on what it left of the floor edge or the walls if you had to remove the whole floor, this is what you will be screwing the new floor down to secure it, you will want to fiberglass the backside as well as the edges of the new wood before it is put down as well as any kind of spacer blocks you will need to brace the floor off of the stringers or fuel tank or whatever may be below the floor, once you have laid down and screwed the floor to the stringers and supports you will than go over it with fiberglass mat until it is approximately the same hight of what it was before or as high as it needs to be to tie into the walls or other flooring, you can than grind it smooth spray some gellcote and sand, reapply and sand as wanted. if you want it really level you can apply some marine bondo before the gellcote, less time sanding and spraying gellcote. And of course during all of this their is specific ways and technics to applying fiber glass, just laying it down and wetting it in resin does not guarantee a good bond. So are you trying to do this yourself?
Q: which is easier? i have done some on on the floor but never on the trampoline.
A cartwheel on the floor would be easier. A trampoline would be bouncing you around, and it would be hard to stop yourself after you land. Doing it on the floor may require some skill, but doing it on the trampoline would be a little harder. They're very similar though, so it really doesn't matter. One ou learn it on the floor, the trampoline shouldn't be so hard. :)
