Q:We are moving into a new apartment soon and I am shopping for some new things for it. I have already purchased slipcovers in a flax color for my couch and chair and we are going to get a black coffee table and black end tables and black tv stand (etc, pretty much everything else black, thank goodness I was able to compromise a different couch color!!!)

Q:what is better cheaper?Linolium or Carpet?Where should I look for no glue linoleum?
To answer the question.. Overall on a medium priced and grade product in each line, carpet generally runs cheap , along with the installation is usually cheaper. Of coarse you can buy a cheap and more expensive product to say I m wrong but on a low medium or high priced item from each , again comparing each , carpet generally is cheaper. Any flooring store will carry both glue down and perimeter bond vinyls and possible linoleum ( there is a difference ). Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar . GL
Q:hello, im getting a horse soonshe is a 15.3hh 5year old mare irish type sorti live in eastern england so the weather is pretty changeable :/i was looking at some horse rugs and i found some i like i thought that i would get 6 (3 stable 3 turnouts)i was going to get a :12oz/340g filled turnout9oz/250g filled turnoutand a no fill turnout sheet.14oz/400g filled stable8oz/220g filled stableand a waffle/fleece stable do u think that would be ok? first time horse owner you see want to get it right :) do i need more or more heavy filled rugs??thanks xXp.s the horse will be out in the summer months and in at night out during the day in winter
Sounds good, just also get a few cotton rugs hoods, and maybe a polar fleece or wool under rug. Also maybe a fly sheet for summer. Keep the cottons under your heavy turnouts always because the turnouts are a bugger to wash. I have 3 cotton sets on rotation for each horse and throw them in the washing machine every 2 weeks. My only thoughts would be do you need both levels of fill stable rugs? You could always put a fleece underneath the lower fill if it was extra cold or wear the higher fill turnout inside. My boys tend to wear their turnout rugs in the stable as well unless its too warm, which is why I ask. Don't know whether this helps, the weather may be very different (i think maybe my winters/fall/spring are a bit warmer) and also the types of rugs available may differ but my ponies outfits are summer: day- light cotton flag rug cotton hood or fly sheet (never naked because of showing, their coats fade) summer night: cotton rug hood or ripstop or both if cooler. Autumn/fall spring: day: cotton + light canvas or cotton + polar fleece night: 180fill turnout rug/neck rug over cotton Winter: Day: cotton + polar fleece + canvas (or no fill turnout instead of canvas if wet) Night: cotton + 250 or 300 fill turnout rug neck rug. once clipped which is usually early winter they get cotton rug, polar fleece hood polar fleece rug + 250 fill turnout. This is just in general, of course I does vary according to weather changes. They are stabled at night and out during the day all year except on their end of summer 'holidays' when they run around naked in the paddock for a few weeks. :) I love rug shopping, it becomes very addictive, beware! :P If you are in the uk, get this hood rug set, I love it :) bestturnedout .uk/images/bsheep... My horses would probably be embarrassed to be seen in it never speak to me again, but I like it, bit too expensive to ship to Australia sadly though :(
Q:What do you think of this rug?
i dont know at 1st i didnt like it but i think its one of thoughs things that just might grow on you know what i mean lol its an ok rug notihng i would buy but if a friends had it or something it would be cool it's all in the eye of the beholder
Q:I've seen stainmaster carpet, and I was wondering which type of carpet resists stains the best. I'm redoing the carpet in a dining room, and my cats continually pee on the carpet in this room, so I need a robust carpet. Thanks!
I have Stainmaster ... and I have 3 dogs and a cat. My carpet is not yet 4 years old, and it is destroyed. Stainmaster isn't worth the time it takes to type the word. OK, the truth is ... if a stain is just on the surface, and you catch it and clean it RIGHT AWAY ... yes, you can usually get it out. However, if it soaks through, forget it. You may be able to get most of the visible stain out, but the smell? No way. If you could replace your carpet with Pergo, tile, anything BUT carpet, I'd recommend it. If, however, you do want to use carpet, I'd look into commercial-grade carpet. That's the stuff used in department stores, restaurants, offices, etc. Not too luxurious, but pretty tough. It is a very tight carpet ... most wet stains and spills will wipe up. And it can be vigorously scrubbed without damaging it. If you buy a carpet with an allover pattern, in a medium-to-dark tone, it will better hide the stains than one that is a solid color, especially a light color.
Q:How to deal with the odor of new carpet
Buy some activated carbon to adsorb or put in a ventilated place for a few days!
Q:For my bedroom. I'm a 14 year old girl, and I'm remodeling my bedroom. I'm painting 3 walls light blue, and one wall a darker shade. My furniture is all white. (Desk, bed, night stand, dressers (dressers have a blue trim...)
My pick would be the second choice for several reasons. Because the walls and the trim on the dressers will be blue, I'd be concerned with how the various shades of blues found in the rugs, your walls, and furniture will play together. If they clash, it won't be a good look. I am personally not a fan of zebra stripe so that pretty much ruled it out for me. Also the fact that the zebra striped rug also has blue trim again makes me worry about too many shades of blue in one room. The second choice is the most neutral of all. It also adds a chocolatey color which looks beautiful with blue. Adding this rug will add a new color to the scheme which will complement the blues in the room.
Q:How are the carpets laid?
Do not need to roll up, and the external force to promote not to uplift, such as corridors and other occasions can be fixed by Qianyao paving method. The carpet will be cut into a whole piece of adhesive joint, and adhesive or around the room on the ground with a small wooden card overturned the (pull) will be fixed with the ground on the back of the carpet.
Q:This might be a stupid question. But I'm about to buy carpet and I need to know how many sq. feet I need. I need to get a 16x20 piece of carpet and the prices go per sq. footage. so, How much sq.footage is 16x20? thanks.
You need 320 s/f butttttttt..... Carpet comes mainly in 12 and 15 foot wide so depending on how you room is laid out with its walking patterns etc is how its laid and seamed. Generaly a seam will be on the furthest wall away from all traffic. Again if your carpet comes 15 foot ( some do some only comes 12 foot wide) you ll you ll need extra carpet for a seam . You ll be scraping out some so you ll have to get more than 320 s/f GL
Q:how to wash the carpet?
but generally it is very expensive. The laundry is going to give you a wash, and the expenditure is enough to buy a new after three or four times: Find a place with water (a toilet is ok), wash carpet just like you wash the shoes, extremely simple, use some good washing things like comfort softener , there is no need to use washing machine, just wash it and hang out in the sun, because many things are hand washing in the laungry
