- There is some cleaner called Greased Lightning that works REALLY good on carpet stains-espescially on light/white colored carpets. I haven't had the misfortune of Seafood flavor cat vomit, but it got red marker stains out, and a multitude of others out of my carpet. Depending on the texture of the carpet, you will have to dab/blot, and maybe pour a small amount of hot water on it to dilute the stain that seeps down to the padding, then blot again. Rubbing and scrubbing should not be done unless and until you have just a faint stain left, because you will just spread the stain, and the more scrubbing you do the more it wears the carpet in that area, and it will still be noticable. They sell it in the cleaning supplies at Walmart or Family Dollar Stores, and it's less than $4 a bottle. It's also good at cleaning other surfaces, and it's even taken grease/oil stains out of my husband's jeans without discoloring them. Good stuff.

- Didn`t know this practice was limited to Russians. Are u sure ur not confusing rugs with tapestry. I`ve seen some very large, beautiful tapestry wall hangings while touring the historic mansions of Newport, RI. Wall hangings r in style today, only in smaller scale. Wish u had described the rugs in more detail and where u have seen them. Maybe they do use rugs for insulation or to block sounds in small living quarters.

Carpeting has a pad underneath it, unless it's like mine where I have underfloor heating in my ground floor living room. - I have a 15.2 hh Fat horse, as round as a pumpkin! He is generally a 60 rug but can fit into a 59! He is also a cob! If you are going to have a couple of rugs, id have the bottom one or 2 as a 59 and the top ones as 60. Also i rekon he would be a cob. But i dont think there is much difference in a 5'9and a 6'0, so if you thought he may fill out or get rounder once you get him than you may be better just going with 6'0!

- Q: I just purchased an indoor-outdoor rug for my kitchen. I thought maybe it would wear better and not show every little spill or dirt.I had a black rug in there before and it showed everything.My problem is that I can't seem to get the wrinkles out of it.Down the sides of it are ripples and they won't go away. - Nail polish remover. The usage is similar to alcohol acetone. The effect is also good. Washing water does not require quality, good or general, as long as you can wash off all nail polish.

- Yes its a softer fiber. Softer than your standard nylon carpet. But the drawback is that the fibers don t stand up as well as nylon and defiantly won t last as long as wool.
