Q: Do I actually have to go into a store to price carpet or is there some where online I can do it? I am about to purchase a house quot;as isquot; and I'm calculating the approximate expenses of things repairs that need to be done.: I hope it helps.

Q: So the rug has been in a very cold house. Are fleas still a problem or do they die in the winter?: yes, the rug still has fleas. If it has been below freezing the fleas are dead but the eggs are still viable. As the eggs warm up to around 70, they will hatch in 7-10 days. Just wash the rug before bringing it into your house. If you have not washed it yet, you may have to treat your house in a week. 1 flea can lay 600 eggs nd in 7-10 days, depending on the temperature, the eggs hatch. In 7-10 days the 600 fleas will hatch and a wee later they will each lay 600 eggs.

Q: l have a white shag rug in my room and it gets dirty easily and i cant really put it in the washer so i was wondering what the easiest way to clean it would be: shampoo the rug with a steam cleaner and purchase another rug to set on top of it this will prevent a heavy traffic area from getting dirty, from time to time remove it and wash it or shampoo it replace it when fully dried.

I have the last one shown (Defender) is a great rug for really cold frosty winters. Tough denier and no neck rug attached, which I prefer for my horses that are not in much work. In spring I then switch it for a lighter rug, which they usually wear for a month or so before I leave it off completely. But please remember, even if you switch to a lighter rug, it will still need to come off each morning if it is warm and during their heavy moulting in the first month of spring.

Q: best way to get red ink out of a white rug ?: Rubbing Alcohol takes out pen ink. Maybe it will work on red ink too.

Thanks.: You can clean a carpet, but if it has been wet and has a pad under the carpet, you will have to cut the carpet loose at the wall and remove the pad from under the carpet. You can not clean that and the mold smell is in the pad. Either replace the pad or just leave it out. I never put pad under carpet. Now clean the carpet and add some mildew killer to the cleaning agent. They sell this at Lowes and Home Depot. Reattach the carpet at the wall with a carpet tacker prior to cleaning as it might shrink otherwise.

That's how they get rid of the hair naturally and is part of the reason that they roll. A shedding blade is great too! Is your other horse an older horse as you often find that they tend to hold onto their hair longer when they get older.

Try to find it on sale. Somewhere in between $1-2 is alright - especially on sale. $3 buys very nice carpeting. Carpet comes in 15' width. It's not the most popular width, but it is out there. You should go online to Lowes or Home Depot and search carpet. Use the filter to select 15' width. If you live in the Midwest, Menards would have better deals on carpet.
