Q:... if I wanted to sell it spur of the moment tomorrow. My entire family is going to Disneyland for Thanksgiving and I really want to go, only I don't have the money to do so. Knot Count 3.) Color combination (Whether the colors are properly set) 4.) Quality of wool 5.) Vegetable Dyes/ Chrome Dyes 6.) Your Patience (Desperate sales are always at a pittance) But still, for a 192 Sq Ft rug , I would say that you should at least expect about $ 18-20 per Sq Ft if I assume that you rug is just about average in all the factors enlisted above. Q:if i use oxyclean and water in my floor scrubber for a cleaner to do my whole carpets will it work nice?: I use oxyclean in my residential grade carpet steamer all the time and I haven't noticed any negative effects. I add about half the carpet soap that the instructions say to use and use about a tablespoon of oxyclean. Make sure to use really hot water and shake the water holder around to dissolve all the oxyclean before you put it in the machine. The reason its OK to use oxyclean is that any residue left behind won't be sticky and attract dirt like soap products would. That being said make sure to test out the oxyclean on a hidden corner of the carpet first, just brush in a small spot to make sure nothing bad happens.

Q:I have a square dining table in a long rectangular room: A rectangular rug would look best...to choose the correct size measure the length and width of the table and add at least 4' to each measurement, the chair legs shouldn't fall off the rug when people are seated at the table or pulling the chairs away from the table to seat themselves.

I don't want a huge area rug or a runner but a rectangular rug big enuf that the coffee table can go on it but not too big that takes up half the living room. THanks looking for measuremets!: I would think you would measure across the top of coffee table, end to end. Then do the same at carpet store. You can judge how many inches you would want the carpet to over lap the table.

Q:The carpet guy came to our house and measured our room out the other day, and said to put the baseboards in after. I read on a lot of sites to do the base boards first. Is the carpet company asking us to do it this way so its easier for them? Should we put baseboards in first even though they say not to?: If your doing newly painted base boards( you don t say) they may have trying to avoid scratching freshly painted boards or a newly urethaned base.. Since paint wont thoroughly cure for a month, even a careful installer can scratch baseboards.The backing on new anti static carpets can be worse than sandpaper. I m not defending them,but showing you a point from a store owner/installer s view. I agree that baseboards should be installed 1st with a small gap under them so carpet can be tucked in and cut. Q:My roommate used a rug doctor to clean the carpet, she is a complete cleaning novice, and did it while i was at work. She sprayed to much of the cleaning liquid and left us with slightly damp carpet, it now smells. I have been spraying it with febreeze, but it doesn't seem to be helping too much.I was planning a dinner for some friends on friday night, but it's just embarrassing. Q:We have a fairly large area rug in our living room but over time it has become wrinkled. HELP!: there are many types of rug grips to put under area rug. while they will help, they are not going to end all your creeping problems. also, if you have a rug on top of a rug, you want to make sure that you are moving the area rug an vaccuming under it also. the backing om the area rug is very abasive, and will eventually start wearing the nap on the installed piece, kind of like rubbing sandpaper over the spot again and again, the rug grips are available in different sizes, and can usually be purcharched thru most reputable flooring companies
