Q: I'm thinking of buying a shag rug similar to this type. I have 2 boys and a dog...so it will need to be steam cleaned every now and then. I'm wondering if those are cleanable with professional steam cleaners, or if the sucking action will tear up the rug. Figured it would be good to find out before I buy one! Thanks!
this information came from the care instructions on the link you provided: Recommended Care: ?Professional rug cleaning or hand wash in cold water ?Hang or lay flat to dry ?Flip over and vacuum on the back side ?Rug pad is recommended under all rugs to avoid skidding ?Due to the hand made nature of the rugs, colors and sizes will vary slightly Because this is a hand made rug and costly, I myself would not use a steam cleaning machine on it.
Q: how to lay a carpet on the iron sheet In the winter?
First, clean up the stairs and then brush a layer of floor glue and put a carpet on the it.
Q: I have a white berber carpet in my room, and it has these gross grayish areas that are probably from dirt and what not . Also, my nauseous doggy sleeps on my bed and I have his various, dried throw up stains in it too. I've tried orange Goo Gone on everything , and it didnt work . I would like something that's pretty cheap that I could buy at like a local Walmart/Target, deep cleaning , pet safe , works on berber carpet , and isent a ton of hastle. I mean I don't mind getting on my hands and knees working stuff in , but nothing too extreme. I just want my carpet clean!!I don't want to have to rent a carpet cleaner , so I'm curious . What store bought carpet cleaners have worked for you? And do you think those will work for my carpet ? Thank you so much! (:
How To Clean Berber Carpet
Q: I have a budget of about $2300 for the carpet, pad, and labor. I have inquired at two different places and have been given very different estimates of the cost of carpet per square foot that I can afford. These are the dimensions of the three rooms:Living Room: 12X23Dining Room: 12X12Hallway: 4X12How much, with approximate cost of pad and installation fees, do you think I can afford?
It really depends on the flooring you buy, I've seen floors usually for $1 to $4 per square foot while I was last in the hardware store. I don't know if it's just in my area or what, but either Home Depot or Lowe's (I don't remember) has a $99 whole-house install special that includes padding.
Q: How to flat a carpet that is rolled?
The carpet wool can be pressed by furniture, and it also can be ironed.
Q: I had purple window paint spilled on my carpet and I really need to get it out. Help please??
Use carpet cleaning machines loaded with steam cleaning advantage. Ordinary carpet cleaners can't remove the paint perfectly but carpet cleaners with steam cleaning feature can easily remove the stains.
Q: I currently operate a rug store that sells almost all persian rugs in Santa Rosa California (in the San Fransisco bay area). Operation is rather stable but I have two issues.1. I sell high quality rugs and hence the prices are more expensive reflecting the quality. However, many customers can find designs similar to mine on the internet at 1/3 to 1/4 of the price. (internet is 600, mine are 3000). If you put the rugs side by side you can DEFINATELY tell the drastic difference in quality. How should I cope with this?2. I am hoping to think of an idea used to promote the sale of these rugs. Any sort of promotion would be great just to get people to start buying.I have money to spend on ideas. Thanks, All help is appreciated. Best Answer will be chosen promptly.
1. Regarding the issue about cheaper rugs online: If they really are worse in quality, maybe you should consider putting it on display and comparing it to one of your rugs. That's probably the only thing I can think of right now. 2. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Start an online rug business on the side. It doesn't cost a penny more, and you have a better opportunity to give valuable details on your products.
Q: I painted my room lime green and purple last weekend, and I got a big splotch of purple on my white carpet, any ideas on how to get it out?Thank you x3
Hello, okorder /
Q: I keep a super clean litter box, sometimes she goes in it sometimes she doesn't. The bath rug is literally a foot away from her litter box. She's 1yrs old, fixed and is good behaved except for that. Ive washed the rugs, got new ones, tried different material rugs, everything... the rugs have all had rubber backing. I remember I had a rug w/ out the rubber backing I don't think she pee'd on that 1. Could it be the rubber or something? We moved a few months back could that be a reason?
There are so many reasons why she could be doing this, I have 3 cats and I went through this with one of mine a few years ago and now a different cat started doing it after I moved.(The other one stopped when I started covering the couch, his favorite place to pee, with aluminum foil when I wasn't home) Moving can be a big factor behind it, cats bond more with their homes than their owners so moving is a HUGE deal to them. I would have the vet rule out a urinary infection just to be safe, especially if she meows while going or you see any blood in it. Some cats just seem to like peeing on soft things rather than litter. That seems to be what is going on with my guy now, he never did it while living in my apartment, but he started peeing on dirty clothes and rugs about 2 months after I moved into a house, and I had thought he was the most adjusted one! If you catch her doing it, you can yell loudly or shake a pop can with a couple of pennies in it and it may sink in to her that you do not like what she is doing. So far I have not found a cure for my guy, other than I can no longer leave anything on the floor (rugs, clothes, towels, nothing). If I do, he pees on them within a few hours. It is very frustrating, my boyfriend is ready to get rid of him if it doesn't stop. Just a quick note, both of my boys were cleared of having any medical problems causing their peeing outside the litterbox
Q: Some guys have peed on my rug, I'm trying to find out who was responsible this. That rug really tied the room together.
