- Q: I did some research and found that HEPA filters are ideal. I'm just not a vacuum expert, and I don't know which vacuum to use it on. or how.
- Central vac systems as the other posters are talking about are great but hard to install in a house that's already built and expensive. But if you have the funds, it's a great way to go. My favorite of all time vacuum is the Bissell Healthy Home that I have now. It's got the HEPA filter and has a filtering technology similar to Dyson for 1/2 the price. Well made, solidly built unit with a 5 year warranty on it. On sale, you can find them for about $200, regular price is $250. My middle son (grown and on his own) is allergic to cats and we now have 4. I got the Healthy Home and did a really thorough cleaning with it. I was pretty disgusted with what my Hoover Wind Tunnel had been leaving in my carpets. Son came home for a visit a day or so after that. He didn't have near the allergy issues! We regularly use it on the upholstered furniture also. Because I have so many pets, we vacuum about every other day. Regardless of what you get, you need to keep the unit clean. There are washable filters in most units that you rinse out in the sink and let dry and replace. The cleaner the filter, the better job it does. None of the uprights do a really good job on bare floors but there is a way around that. Sears sells a generic bare floor brush that with the adapter included in the package fits right on the extension wand of the Bissell. Your upright is now a canister! Cost $13.00 plus tax. Vacuums are one of those things that you get what you pay for to a point. I wouldn't go cheap even if it has the HEPA filtration but I don't think it's necessary to spend major bucks either. I've seen too many Dyson units come back to the store for issues and have to be sent out for repair. Try telling a lady that the vacuum she spent $500 on a month ago is broken and needs to be sent out for repairs, it's going to take 6 weeks at least and no, she doesn't get a loaner.

- Vacuum cleaners have suction that is way too powerful to use on internal organs. Didn't you see the 1000 Ways to Die episode where the idiot used a shop vac to perform his own liposuction and disemboweled himself and bled to death? Same principle. Besides, pumping the stomach would not help with food poisoning, which comes from bacteria or toxins in the food. By the time you use a pump, the bacteria or toxin is in the bloodstream and your vacuuming action is futile.

- Q: I mean money.Our company pay based on how many clients we sign. The top sales persons can sign 3 person per day on average. And that is $40 Australian dollars per sign. On my first day, I signed one customer successfully, but my boss told me that he had a problem with my working attitude.Now let's do that maths, we work 10 hours per day, and if we sign 3 people, that is $120/ 10 hours, that is $12/hour. If we are not lucky, (just like my quot;bosson that day), we could only sign 2 people, then it's $80/ 10 hours, that is $8 per hour. To compare, the a waiter in China town earns $8 per hour. And if I am not lucky, I can only sign one person, that is $4 per hour.I am not very happy with the pay and the quot;bossis having problem with my working attitude --- he wants me to work harder. If it were me, I'd tell him to stick his job where the sun don't shine. Possibly you may wish to be a little more polite than me. Cleaners etc earn more than that, without the hassles. - when you decide to replace your current handheld vacuum buy a rechargeable Black and Decker. It charges while hanging on the wall and is always ready. Getting a rechargeable will save money in the long term since you will not have to bother with batteries.

If you want to go into manufacturing them, the smartest thing is to first work for a vacuum cleaner company, or a vacuum cleaner manufacturing company. That way you will find out what is needed and how much it costs and how it is marketed, and other things you will need to know. Then you can start your own company with knowledge.
