Q: In the last three months I have purchased two separate vacuum cleaners from Wal-Mart.....granted they were cheap...but they were also all I could afford. They have both stopped working...the most recent one I got worked great for about a week ( it cost 40 bucks)..and now it gets so clogged up every time I use it, that its pointless to even try...and it leaves black marks all over my carpet, I have to stop and unclog the hose after only doing half a room....plus it isnt even picking n e thing up!!! I am so fed up.....I can't afford an Orek or a Hoover....is there a cheap vacuum that wont quit on me??? Price range from 50-80 dollars????......Please help!!!
There is no good vacuum you're going to get in that price range, sorry to say. I got the Eureka Boss SmartVac at Wal-mart for $138. I've had it for 4 years and it still works like brand new. It does a great job and it was so worth it! Consumer Reports rated it a Best Buy, better than Dyson. I know this is more than you want to spend, but you usually get what you pay for. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Q: Looking for an overall price range how much are Miele Vacuum Cleaners, are they worth the hefty price tag?
They vary in price between 150 and 500 pound , it depends on the model that you require
Q: Who has owned and recommends Electrolux vacuum cleaners?
I am really picky about vacuums and their performance(s). If you are purchasing a new vacuum, try a Dyson...I bought one 7 months ago and it is awesome! The cost is comparable to electrolux etal and its' cleaning ability is second to none
Q: Are hoovers too strong, what has workked for you?-thanks
I pop the keys off a couple at a time and then shake it out
Q: If sound doesnt travel through a vacuum, why are vacuum cleaners so loud?
Actually, a vacuum cleaner does not produce a real vacuum. It -pulls- air into a chamber by use of a noisy electric motor. Even if a vacuum were created in the collection chamber, you would still hear noise produced by the motor which is situated outside the vacuum chamber.
Q: . Why is the consideration of a black hole as a 'cosmic vacuum cleaner' so wrong?
I suppose because black holes don't draw everything in the universe into them, therefore they're not cosmic vacuum cleaners. Even if our own sun suddenly became a black hole none of the planets would be sucked into it because it would still have the same mass as the former sun.
Q: This questions is about a nephew. He is 5. I have 3 children ages 5,3 and 18 mo and the two older ones have never seemed to know so much about 1 toipic and talk so much about it. Is this typical or abit on the autistic specrum of my nephew. He's been like this about vacums since he was about 4.
I don't think it's abnormal... If his area of expertise were dinosaurs, I doubt you'd even be asking the question. But the bottom line is that kids find topics that they're interested in and absorb quite a bit! They really delve in and become little experts on their topic. I've met dinosaur kids, farm equipment kids, Nascar driver kids, railroad kids... And they're all extremely knowledgable in their field. Vaccuum cleaners and stoves are not a big deal. Take him out when you want to buy a washing machine. :)
Q: is there a name for fear of vaccum cleaners? because I KNOW i have it! ever since i was an infant i would screem frickin bloody murder in my crib when my mom would run teh vacuum cleaner. when i was jsut a small child i would run from it, afraid it would suck up my toes. and now, today, at 14, i cannot STAND the loud noise they make and i do NOT put my toes in front of one. it takes me a few moments before i can even bring myself to turn it on. the bigger, louder they are, the worse my reactions. sometimes at work (i volunteer at a veterinary hospital) i have to ask one of my co-workers to do it because i will purposly busy myself just to get away from it.please, do not laugh at me. it's embarrassing enough and i just want to know the name of it.thankxx! :]
Hooverphobia? j/k ... a fear of vacuum cleaners is not as rare as you may think. If you are afraid of them when they are NOT running, that might be a bigger problem. My advice is to record the sound of a vacuum until the sound does not bother you. Then try to just stay in a room where someone is using a vacuum, but where you feel safe, or your toes do anyway. After that, put y our feet on the floor as someone vacuum's around them...with shoes at first! This is a method used frequently with people having phobias such as yours. Good luck, Kristi
Q: I'm going to college and I have a little apartment by myself with beige carpeting. I don't have a vacuum, but i do have a swivel sweeper. Can I use clean-then-vacuum cleaners? Or isn't it powerful enough? And, if not, what could I use to help keep my carpets cleaner than they currently are?
Join Freecycle on internet in your area and you can ask if anyone has a vacuum to give or for sale cheap. They always have bargais on there site.
Q: Is Dyson the best vacuum or are the bagged vacuum still actually clean better, we just put in laminate hardwood floors last year and this year we are replacing all the carpet and want it to last!
I okorder .
