Q: if i use oxyclean and water in my floor scrubber for a cleaner to do my whole carpets will it work nice?: Do not use laundry products on your carpet, they may contain harmful bleach additives that will damage the carpet dyes, especially if the carpet is Nylon. what ever soap you use, use very little as these toy machines do not have the ability to properly rinse the soap from the carpet fibers. Any soap residue left behind will become a dirt/soil magnet and the carpets, especially the traffic areas will quickly re soil.

Q: are there any home made recipes i can use for removing stains out of the carpet?thanks.: It will depend on what the stain is, rubbing alcohol will remove some stains, oxy clean, greased lightening, dawn dish washing soap, penetrate the stain and blot up with old towel until stain lightens this may take several applications, then use a soft bristle brush to scrub, blot up excess moisture and soap rinse well and blot... There are also stain and spot removers that can be purchased but I have found that most don't work as good as they say...all else fails rent a rug doctor!

Q: When I first moved into my apartment it reeked like cat urine and the carpets where filthy. I shampooed the carpets using a water and laundry detergent but the carpet still looks bad. I have read about using vinegar and I tried it on one spot but I dont know that I used the right amount because it didnt seem to work. Does anyone have a recipe that will work on very, very, very dirty carpet????: It is hard to get rid of cat or dog urine. 2 choices,get it steamed cleaned don't buy any extras if you do,it could run you a large bill. check junk mail for specials,the deals that they have are worth it. it should run you about 40 to 90 bucks on 3 to 5 rooms. If you are on budget rent a carpet cleaner at fry's they are cheap,just make sure you don't over do it with carpet cleaner(soap). on spots treat it with carpet cleaner direct in heavily soiled areas,scrub the area with what ever you choose(I usually rub it with my shoe's in a back and forward motion on the treated area's) when finished with soap applications. Run the carpet machine on hot water with NO soap ,run the machine with hot water only to get all of the soap residue especially in treated areas. Bad side if you leave soap residue the carpet will get worse in a few month's. A carpet that has has been stained with dark colors like oils,gum, ash burn's,coffee,juises (etc), will have small chances of the carpet fiber's to return to it's original color, so don't think it's going to look like new again. After you finish if there is still a bad smell, chances are that the dog/cat urine got deep in the carpet padding and will need more cleaning's to get rid of smell. you will have to wait for carpet to completely dry and re clean, depending on how much urine there is left behind you will have to repeat the process to get results.The vineger trick that they told you about is used right after a spill has accured to help pick up the spill. requires 50/50 water and vineger best used with spray bottle.

Q: My couch is black leather. I have a glass top coffe table with black legs. My tv is black, and the TV stand is black w/ a very dark wood. Also some other dark wooden misc peices that match. I want to paint the walls a fire engine red to make the room pop, but I also need a rug. I've been searching every store everywhere, but NOTHING seems to match. We tried several animal prints, but it ended up look tacky. Any suggestions??: Maybe like a burgundy color. You can pick a rug and go to Home Depot or Lowe's and they can match the paint to the color.

Q: How do you get nail polish out of carpet? If that doesn't work, try using a razor to remove the portion of the fibers that are damaged.

They are washable, come in a ton of colors and don't skid. No accidents in baby's room!

Q: Whether is the wood floor good or the carpet good in the bedroom?: Floor is recommended. Thought it's easier to cause fire and the heat?retention properties is slightly lower than the carpet, comfort matters, the comfort of carpet is better than the floor, if there are people smoking at home, it's much more convenient to clean floor! Put the life aside, the heat?retention of the carpet is better than the floor, but still better than floor tiles, cleaning is not convenient
