Q: we are looking to sell our house soon, and need to replace the carpet. the estimates we are getting are 8,000 minimum.we just want something new, looks good and will last at least 10 years and affordable.am i dreaming when i hope to have it done,materials and labor, cost no more than $2000?: I have successfully replaced carpet at far below retail quotes by purchasing what is called seconds. Depending upon your location, look for a carpet store in your area that is the largest wholesale store. Call them and express your need to obtain x sq ft of carpet at the lowest possible price. If you get an invitation to come look and see what they have that will sell in your price point. Go, they are in possession of at least a few choices for you. I don't know the sq ft of your home, so I have no idea if 2K is just a dream or could be a reality. Best of luck

Q: When my carpets are cleaned at first, they are perfectly clean and I have a friend who owns a carpet company who doesn't just steam clean the carpets. After a few months, the same stains seem to re-emerge from where they were before as if they were cleaned on the surface but re-surfaced.I have 2 cats where I have cleaned hairballs, and a lot of throwing up, and I think that's what the stains are from. I use the MIracle stuff for cat stains/odors and it seems to work at first, but again they come up especially in the hallway upstairs. The rest of my my carpets are not bad, even after a year. I take good care of them and keep them as clean as possible but these round stains in various places make it look really bad! How can I make them go away permanently. I'm tired of hiring expensive carpet cleaners where they look great for a month or so; then these same spots seem to come back plus additional hairballs which I try to catch as soon as I can.Thanks.: If you have had your carpets professionally cleaned, and they stay clean for a while only to have the same spots re-appear, this means that the padding under the carpet is hopelessly stained. The padding stain will continue to wick up and stain the carpet until the problem is fixed. The solution? You need to have the carpet peeled back, cut the stained padding out, and replace that part with new padding. Any carpet installer should be able to do this. After replacing the stained padding, have the carpet professionally cleaned again, and it will stay clean. Hope this helps. -

Clipping strips them of their body hair and this is their only natural way to keep warm. So you'll need to provide better covers than you currently are, i suggest moving to the 250g fill and possibly even adding an under rug to that.
