Q: i have large area rugs on my carpet and the are moving and sliding all around. which tape have you had the best experience with? thanks
Do not place rubber backed area rugs or any rug that cannot breathe over a carpet as the carpet on the bottom will discolor to a yellow tint that is permanent.
Q: ok i got a new throw rug about a month ago and all of a sudden today my cat pissed on. Hes old.the cat it i think he did i for the last week because it was damp but i saw him i know how 2 get rid of the smell but how do i break him of it? and why does he do it?! P.S the carpet does not smell like that new smell
A UTI could be the cause of your cat's missing the box in favor for the rug, or he could be upset about something. Have you moved his box? Changed his food? Changed his schedule? Anything that is different that might seem small to you might be big to him. My mom's cat started pooping on her rug because my mom moved her litter box. She solved the problem by purchasing Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract cat litter; it is specifically made for cats who fail to use the litter box. There is a booklet inside the package that discusses how to deal with this issue. Dr. Elsey emphasizes that scolding the cat could have the opposite effect that you intend - it could cause the cat to urinate outside the litter box more frequently. This litter and the suggestions worked for my mom's cat. You can find it at Petsmart and other large pet supply stores. Good luck.
Q: I am looking at the prices of rugs and I just want to know what they are used for and when you would use them etc. I am from the UK by the way.:) thanks in advance! x
First High 5 im from tha UK!!! ok i'll go through them all Turnout: a nonthick waterproof rug bout ?25-?90 used in rainy weather Heavy turnout: a thick waterproof rug bout ?50- ?150 used in winter boggy snowy weather Stable rug; a thick rug with no neckpiece bout ?30-?100 used in stable Under rug: a fleecy medium thickness bout ?20-?50 used in cold weather under turnouts and stable rug. Sweat rug: a thin silky rug bout ?15-?40 used after riding Hope i helped!! x
Q: If I were to keep a horse turned out 24/7 in all seasons which rugs would I need?If possible, say where I could layer rugs to minimize buying loads of different kinds. Thanks in advance (:
Well, it depends where you live and the horses you have. If you live in the UK, for example, and have cobs which are out 24/7 they wont need a rug for most of the year, unless they are clipped or the weather is exceptionally wet. Perhaps just one lightweight turnout and one heavyweight turnout, and maybe a fleecy underneath for the very cold days.
Q: Yo!My apartment floors are horrable tiles in the living and bed rooms and I hate it! It's cold and cracked up and ugly. Anyways, we started looking at area rugs but for the sizes we would need to cover most of the rooms we are only finding ones that cost like $1,000 - and we can't afford that - and thats at places like kohls and target, places I thought would be cheap. Are there any websites where I can buy large area rugs for cheap? Or could I even buy the kind of rugs they usually install but not install it? Where would I get that? At this point anything is going to look better then these stupid tiles!
i am confident that i saved at least $200 on each rug i bought. maybe more. seriously, check it out. i hope this helps. good luck! :)
Q: I have a big rug in my bathroom (Not huge, its about 5' x 3').. it's thick and has a thick rubber back. I don't know how to describe what it's made of, but it's not the usual kind of rug you would find to go around the toilet (with a toilet seat cover to match), it's a more expensive rug and the threads kind of loop up and back in.. lol Does that make sense? Anyway, it's been in my bathroom for a while and I want to wash it but I don't want to ruin it. Help?
Put it in your yard and wash it with a hose
Q: Can I use hydrogen peroxide for my carpet cleaning machine to clean the carpet?
Hydrogen Peroxide that comes in the light proof brown plastic bottle, is 3%. It will do no harm as an additive for sanitation purposes, but may not be effective in breaking down dirt, soil, cooking oil particles, found in the carpet. Professional carpet cleaners who use the hot water carpet cleaning process, will use a 12% version to treat obvious pet urine stains. Taxidermists, I'm told, use a 20% version to soak animal skulls in to remove every thing from the bone. Use only 50% per cent of the recommended soap, as these toy machines are famous for leaving a sticky soap residue in the carpet that later will attract soil/dirt/dust to the traffic areas of the carpet. Professional carpet cleaners use citric acid products to help remove soap pre sprays from the carpet, to freshen it, and also to lower the PH of the carpet to a neutral level. If your carpet is seriously soiled and hasn't been cleaned for over a year, consider hiring a professional hot water carpet cleaner. Good Luck.
Q: Our living room carpets really stained, and no matter what we use to clean it...It doesnt work. Even if professionals do it it looks like nothing helped. Any suggestions on gettin it clean?
The best product is goo gone it works on carpet and gets ALL stains out, it is very good! Look it up online. You could also try oxi clean which works vry well, but id stick with goo gone is they are very deep stains.
Q: My dog has peed on my carpet and it stinks a stink I can't get out no matter how hard I try. Someone told me that getting them professionally cleaned will get the smell out. However another person told me that once you get your carpet professionally cleaned they always get dirty easier and faster after that. Does anyone know if this is true?
Yes, go to the pet store and look for urine b gone, it really gets rid of the smell, before hand try to soak up as much as possible, before it drys. BOL
Q: I need a good turnout rug for my delightful stallion as he manages to break every rug I put on him, wether it being ripping off a belly strap (which I don't know how he does because he is in a field with post and electric fence, so there is no barbed wire or anything for him to tear it on) or he breaks the clips on the leg straps, then the rug slides. I need a proper turnout rug, with a bit of quilting for winter, not just a thin sheet. It obviously needs to be fairly sturdy and hardy but because of the number of rugs I have already bought him, then I can't afford to spend a fortune on it. if it was under ?30 that would be great, but absolutly nothing over ?40.So does anybody know any good brands or can find me links to good ones? Thanks in advance
I always use weatherbeeta but Robinsons UK have a range which is good value called the Requisite range, could be good?
