- Q: We've recently moved houses and have found there is sandflies/biting insects everywhere. Into the afternoon my TB mare especially is being eaten alive by the insects and is rubbing herself on the fences and she now is starting to loose her coat because of it. I'm looking at buying at coat for her that we can put on her to hopefully stop the insects but as well the sun, but I have know idea what type of rug I should get her... We live in a really hot and humid area so we need something cool. Is there anyone who can help??

- Q: I have two area rugs that need cleaned. They aren't stained, just a bit dingy looking from my lab laying on them. One is a jute type rug, 8x10, and the other is a mixed type blend 7x9, it does have some wool in it. I was just wondering if I could use my hand held steamer, I have a Shark Steamer, to clean these? Will it hurt them?If I do this, what should I use with it, just water or some kind of carpet cleaner, etc?
- Follow the instructions on the tag. Or if there are not any call the manufacture of the rug. They may be able to help you with the cleaning. In my experience, you can try and clean on your own it will be the cheapest way to do it. And if you ruin the rug, you can always buy a new one. The ones you have now are dingy and if you cant clean them you need to get new ones anyway. I recommend getting a cheap rug for the dog to lay on that way you can replace once he messes it up without it being a big expense on you.

- Suggest you: first wipe the dirt with alcohol, see if you can erase, if not, use vinegar, and if not yet, then please go to the 4S shop.

- It's better not to use a large carpet to spread the floor, but only a small carpet to decorate the living room and bedroom. Use of cotton or microfiber mats. The two pad materials are safe and pollution-free, completely stop the static trouble, and the quality is comfortable, which is suitable for bedrooms and children's rooms. If the home is geothermal heating, should not be purchased with gum mat, because the rubber surface may melt with heat and damage to the ground, will emit harmful gases.
- Q: Somehow molten candle wax got dropped in my carpet and its really hard now. How can i remove it without destroying my carpet?
- The first thing you need to do is remove as much of the hardened wax as you can. A butter or putty knife works well for this but you can use anything with a dull blade. Scrape up what you can and vacuum the debris. Next place a clean cloth, paper bag or paper towel over the wax. Run a warm iron over the cloth until the wax melts. A hot hair dryer can also be used. Once the wax is melted, it should adhere to the cloth. Lift the cloth and the wax should lift with it. It should be noted that if the wax is colored, it may stain your carpet. Anytime you apply heat to a stain, it causes the stain to lock into the fibers leaving you with a permanent reminder of your clumsiness. It's for this reason you should use a warm iron only. You also don't want to use newspaper or any kind of paper with words or pictures on it unless you want the image to be transferred to your carpet.
- Q: I've had this area rug/carpet for a few years. It still looks great, but it has fold marks, and I always have to pull it to even it out, I believe it is caused by the coffee table. Is there a way to undo this?

- i'm in massachusetts. particularly recommend going to living house depot or lowes and renting a rug healthcare expert for greater or less 25 greenbacks and procuring their carpet cleansing answer for 10 greenbacks. The apartment is for twenty-four hours. it truly works. eliminates puppy smells, puppy hair, airborne dirt and dirt, espresso stains, fruit punch stains,and makes carpets (and sofas!) look form new, confident even white carpets. do no longer fall for those sears and stanley steemer categorized classified ads. they are extremely too lots funds.
- Q: I'd like to know how REAL fur coats, bear skin rugs, etc. are made (by hand not industrial process) as I don't believe its tanning like in leather as it requires the fur to be stripped. I know the animal is killed and harvested, but someone please start after that and tell me as I'm trying to do research for a story I'm working on and I have no experience at this aspect. And if you have an idea of how long they last I'd appreciate it. Also, are they as soft and flexible as it seems or are they harder like leather? Thank you. - Many of us wear them, but we don't actually make them into coats or rugs. They're ALREADY sold in stores ready to wear. My very first fur coat was from a curly lamb suede outside, fur inside.
