Q: I was adding air to my bike tires and the valve became loose. Do I need a new tire or is there a way to tight?
The tyre should be fine, the problem is with the inner bike tube. It is useful to know what type of valve your bike tube uses. Schrader valves have a middle pin surrounded by an outer ring. Presta valves have a movable nut that allows you to inflate or deflate the tube. It sounds like your bike tube has a presta valve you have damaged the movable nut by loosening it a bit too much and/or being a bit too rough with it when using the bike pump. Unfortunately, it can't be fixed. If that is the case, you will need to buy a new bike tube (and keep a spare one handy as well) edit - That's weird, Schrader valves don't usually do that. It must have been an old tube or a faulty one. You'll be needing a new bike tube. edit - Well, I didn't know you could fix them, but still it'll be less hassle if you just brought another tube.
Q: The tricuspid valve is closed: a. during the rapid filling of the ventriclesb. when the mitral valve is openc. during ejection of blood from the ventriclesHelp plzThank you!
b, when the ventricle contracts the valve closes to prevent blood from moving back into the atrium.
Q: The water won't drain around my outside shutoff valve. The faucet at the valve is not dripping any water. Could it be underground problem?
i don,t understand your Question.
Q: I have a yamaha cornet and i took the valves out to oil them. i put the valves in, and now only the middle on makes a sound. when i put down no valves, and doesn't make a sound, only when i press down valve two. i think it is the way i put the valves because it has those holes. can some one let me know what is the right way to put the valves in, like explain or show me a video. thanks.
Every trumpet I've used has numbers on the valves. These should be facing you when inserting the valves, valve 1 being closest to you, and valve 3 being closest to the bell.
Q: My grandfather is going in for a valve replacement.. and I'm really worried about him.. I just want some information.. any good websites if you have them.. I looked on google.. But if you have any good ones that would be great..No horrible comments please..
sorry okorder
Q: I have a trumpet, but unintentionally dropped it. When I started playing, I noticed that the first valve was very sticky. Therefore, I decided to put some oil on it. Despite the oil helping a lot, the valves are still sticking a bit when I push them down, as the key still stays in the valve for a few second before coming up again. It could possibly have a slight dent, but when I opened the valve, I did not see any damage at all. Are there any suggestions? And if it is dented how much would it cost to repair it?
My valves have had many issues over the past few years. Your problem is either 1. horn is dirty 2. there is a tiny dent (even 1/2mm is enough to stop the valve, happened to me last month). If your horn is dirty, there are plenty of youtube videos on how; it generally involves using water and rising all the gunk out. You could also have too much oil buildup. If there is a dent, don't even try to repair it yourself--it is waaaaay to hard, and you'll ruin the instrument even more. Take it to the store; it should only cost $20-30. I suggest you clean the trumpet first and then try to get it fixed if it is not good.
Q: Im 17 with a Bicuspid Aortic valve and hypertension (around 160/85). Only other family member with teenage hypertension is grandfather. Im on 2 different types of hypertension medication which only brings blood pressure down to 138/75. It still jumps to 157/85 on medication. I have leakage of my valve that has not gotten worse or better since starting the medication (first checked in September, medication started in Novemberish, now April). No stenosis yet. Any idea what im looking forward to in next couple years? Or is this stuff spontaneous?
Could go either way. since you are on medication, could be the leakage is contained.
Q: I bought a Bb trumpet from Ebay (I know, probably not the best idea) and when it arrived it was really good, except the valves. They wouldn't go down (or up) really well, so I oiled them, and it helped, but it still won't go up properly (it might go up halfway, then suddenly stop, then go up slowly). The valves sound like they're scraping the side a little, and valve oil doesn't do much good. I don't know what brand it is, so don't ask. Another thing, is there such a thing as over-oiling?
First okorder or your local music store may have it or order it for you. The DVD is 4hours of great trumpet educational material and one chapter is about the care and maintenance of your trumpet. The video will show clearly needs to be done to get your horn in workable condition.
Q: I am a 55-year-old female going in for mitral valve replacement surgery, and I need to decide on which valve to get: bovine or mechanical. If you have any experiences or know anyone who's had either of these types of valves placed in their bodies, please elaborate on the experience. I want to know the pros and cons of each.Thank you.
My aortic valve (amongst other things) were replaced/repaired during an emergency aortic dissection surgery. My surgeon chose the mechanical valve for me. I am hopeful that it will last a long time (I am only 26) so that I can minimize the need to undergo replacement surgeries. Yearly, I see my cardiologist -- they do a CT scan and check to ensure the valve is functioning properly. The valve does have a loud click to it -- it's something that you notice a lot when you first get it, but after a little while you hardly notice it.
Q: I experience a quiet ride on a kawasaki vulcan vn 2000 and clicking started at the end sounds like valves ticking sometine like 2 then 1
I think that bike has hydraulic lash adjusters, should be fairly quiet. How many miles? If it has hydraulic, that is great, it reduces your maintenance to oil changes. First thing to do is have a dealer listen to it. Some bikes are just a little noisier than we would like. Does it have a windshield? This will reflect every sound right back at you. You will hear engine sounds that you would not hear without it.
