- Q: instead of using the wire its self could you put a terminal at the end of your audio wire and connect it to the amp, for your car audio. Because I just ordered 1/0 awg wire, but I don't think the wire will fit on the amp, so could I put a Y terminal at the end of my 1/0 gauge wire and connect that to my amp?
- you can look on OKorder too.
- Q: Okay so I just finished replacing a stolen car radio, but I think I messed up the wiring... When I turn off the car the radio doesn't seem to save the presets I had... it resets the whole stereo... I think it has something to do with the wiring I did... When I installed the radio there were two 12+ volt wires... One said 12+ volt constant and was yellow, and the other said 12+ volt switch and was pink... Problem was when I wired only the yellow one the car stereo wouldn't work, so I tried the pink one and that didn't work.. SO thinking I was clever I wired both to the 12+ volt and VOILA the radio turned on... Problem is I don't think that's how I was supposed to wire it... I have a '97 Honda accord Ex and I don't know if that's what I was supposed to do... :#92;
- A car stero needs 3 main wires Constant Power (Normally Yellow) for memory like radio presets Switched Power (Normally Red) Switched by the cars ignition so your radio turns on/off with your keys You can wire these two together as long as its a constant feed, youll just have to turn it off yourself... but then it will work when the ignition is off as well that way and Earth (Normally black) The rest of the wires if you pay attention you can pair them up to form the front speakers and rear speakers, it looks to me like... this is going to take sometime to get my head around ill edit it ounce ive worked it out... Either way youv got your red and black there thats positive and negative, it will turn on with those. How many speakers in the car, and are they orginal, I asume all wires have an open end? the four black and white ones sound like someones added them, and put non orginal speakers in.
- Q: How is commercial wiring differ from residental wiring in design,operation and etc?
- For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/sbUNO electric tape is easier for the horse to see especially if you use a thick one so its safer but after time its hard to see breaks in the little wires that run through it so electric may not pass through as good or even short out. so wire is better in this respect if it breaks you can see it! i use tape for bottom and top, with wire running with the top tape to make sure the electric is getting round the field.
- Q: I just need to know what each wire is by the color because im trying to hook up my radio to it and the wires on it are different colors than the wires in my car i dnt kno wut is the ground/power/speaker wires or anything please help if you can. Thanks

- Q: Ceiling fan has Green, Blue, black and white and the ceiling only has a black wire and white wire.
- blue and black to black and white to white. (blue is for the light) If you look deeper in the ceiling you should find a bare copper wire and that would go to the green. (if you cant find it,then wire as stated)
- Q: i have some ikea wall lights that are wired to plug but i would like to wire them into exsiting wall points. Is this possibleSandra
- Hard wired wall lights have to have the ability to be mounted to the electrical box which would house the connections. If you could mount the lights to a box cover and then to the box I think it would work fine.
- Q: i need magnetic wire to make a coil and build aradio
- You can often get varnished wire at an outlet such as radio shack. I have also used the yokes of old TV sets that I usually got for free at a local repair shop. I had to carefully unwind the coils. The wire in an automobile ignition coil is another potentially free source. You can purchase electrical insulating varnish as well. Krylon makes an aerosol variety and most others come in a regular can, but you would have to be creative in dipping the wire and suspending it to dry without damaging the coating.
- Q: I'm looking to install a ceiling fan in a fixture that recently had just a light (no idea if it ever had a fan). When I removed the old light, I found that there were three white wires from the ceiling twisted together and connected to the white wire on the light fixture, one black wire from the ceiling connected to the black wire on the fixture, and three black and one white ceiling wires just capped together, not connected to the light fixture.Any idea what the last 4 wires are? I would think that I just need to leave them alone, however, I have to replace the box in the ceiling with one that is rated for a fan, which means I need to (temporarily) disconnect them. I have the breaker turned off that turned the light off, but can I be 100% sure that power to those other 4 wires if also off?
- The three white wires are your neutral wires. the one black wire connected to your fixture is the wire coming from your switch. The white wire connected to the black wires are the hot wires. That one white wire connected to the black wires carries the electricity to the switch then feeds it back to the fixture on the single black wire. I never trust wire until I check it for voltage, even with a breaker off.
- Q: yamazuki wire colors for a universal ignition switch
- Scooter Ignition
- Q: How do I connect a speaker wire with four wires (white, black, red, and green) to the back of speakers with only two connections (red and white)?
- Use your enamel, or positioned money into some $2 cord strippers from the ironmongery shop. Its additionally a sturdy thought to apply some Banana Plugs to function to that speaker cord, this would make it lots less demanding to hookup on your receiver and audio equipment. not all systems are waiting to apply Banana plugs, yet while your equipment accepts them, then this factors the main look after connection.
