- I had the same problem. And my son is SUPER picky about only sleeping on his own bed. A transition from his crib straight to a twin bed would not work with him at all. I got the bed rail and decided to put his mattress on the floor and use the rail since he doesn't have a mattress and box spring yet. (I took the drop side off the crib and left the other 3 sides up around the mattress.) He loves his bed (again, a slow transition), and the rail keeps him from falling onto the floor. We are getting him a twin bed in a couple months, but this was a good solution in the meantime so he wasn't climbing out of his crib. He doesn't even get out of bed at night. Good luck!
- Q: I really want to get a nice loft bed, preferably with a desk built in underneath, but if not, then I could just put my old desk under there. It can't be more then a few hundred dollars. - My son went straight to a twin at 20months after climbing out of his crib and cutting open his lip. I know some parents who still have their child in a crib at 3, but I think most do it around 2. Don't forget a bed rail if you go for a twin (We knew we would have two kids, so we bought a bunk bed that separates into two twins. We put the bottom bunk in the garage for storage and use the top bunk as a regular twin because it already has a rail.)

- You have to use a bed with stronger bulbs. Ask the person who works there if you can upgrade to a stronger bed... some salons have higher quality beds than others so shop around... beachbumtanning is a good one... they have really strong beds but their packages can be kinda pricey...

- A roll away bead because they are an actual bed. A futon is not very supportive for your spine and back. You would be less stressed and have more room when sleeping on a real bed. Yes a futon is cooler, but no one will judge you. It's a bead.
