- Your college should tell you what size the beds are. Just call up housing and ask!!! Most dorm beds are twin XL. Most stores will be getting in dorm bedding soon- I have already seen it at WalMart. Kohl's, Target, even Macy's gets in college Twin XL bedding. sheets, comforters, mattress covers will all come in twin XL. Just because you will be having a private room doesn't mean they will leave two twin size beds in there. or that you will be able to push them together. You can look up the width of a twin size bed on line and the width of a queen size comforter too.

- Ok...I can help but I have to give you the measurements in inches and I do not have it for all of them. I know that a twin is 40 inches wide. I know that a double is 55 inches wide. A queen is 60 inches wide and a king is 76 inches wide. I do not remember the length but I do know that it is the same for the twin, full and queen and I believe the correct answer is 70 inches. A king is as long as it is wide. A California King is longer than it is wide for the really tall people but I do not have the exact measurements. I have never heard the phrase Twin King though...and I have a king bed. I can't imagine what that is referring to. The only Kings we have here in the states are kings and California kings. Although I have seen king mattress referred to as eastern king. Sorry, I hope this helps.

- I went straight from the crib to a twin bed at 16 months. To be honest, I would recommend that you don't waste your money on a toddler bed. They are only meant to be used as a transition so they are not very well built; they are rather flimsy. Your child will outgrow it very quickly. Just save the money you would have used for a good twin bed with siderails.
