- For years my bed sat on top of some draws that used to be the platform of my waterbed. Check some garage sales, if you can find a set or two of those it worked great, and very low cost. And you don't have to worry about legs on the bed's box springs, just set the bed on top of the box or drawers you find.

- my son is 18 months old and I am not taking him out of his crib until he needs to switch. My son moves around alot and if he could run around his room he would!! He has never crawled out(shocking)and they say when they climb out its time to start thinking about getting them out. If your girls sleep pretty still and you think they will deal with the switch well then you can move them. I know three year old twin boys who still sleep in the same crib. They love sleeping next to each other.
- Q: i bought some pine bedding and normally its the stuff used for hamsters and rabbits but, it says on the back that it is safe for birds. me being as picky as i am cause i consider my birds my children, i don't necessarily trust them. i have heard mixed things about pine bedding stuff like it can cause respiratory problems. it's all natural pine bedding and has not been treated with anything.
